Georgia-born blind harp-player Saunders Terrell (a.k.a. Sonny Terry) joined forces with Walter "Brownie" McGhee from Tennessee in the early 1940s and their successful partnership has been entertaining fans of real blues ever since. Although they remain known for playing traditional blues, they were also adept at performing in a more modern style, as these recordings for the Savoy and Groove labels showcase.
