Antibalas is partly responsible for the wave of neo-afrobeat bands from all over the world. Duke Damayo and his seven stiff band represent the grumpy life in NYC with their mix of punk, free-jazz and hip hop. 'Where The Gods Are In Peace' is the first release in a trilogy that seeks out a way from this present climate. The LP contains three long explosive compositions in the tradition of Fela Kuti that set the course of evil opportunism, selfishness and greed.
