The sixth full-length album by California psych-prog band The Flower Machine. Led by Dutch-American singer and guitarist Peter Quinnell, The Flower Machine has been one of the longest-running yet most obscure bands in the Los Angeles psych scene, appearing in concert and on radio only sporadically and avoiding the limelight. 'Waterloo Green' is an interstellar rock opera. It involves spaceships that travel from Neptune to New York in 1951 to conquer the Earth, where they are thwarted by time-traveling scientists from 1967 who defeat them using surrealism, dope, and winter holiday decorations. "'Halki Pilvien' (transl. through the clouds) brings exactly what one expects from the clouds. It is a collection of soft and gentle movements, as playful as a 'Jan Anderzén type of music' is always. A collection of patterns that solidify for just a brief moment in time, before sublimating in the back of the mind. This album is in constant motion. Push play. A warped piano and cartoonish SFX's might foretell a hyperreal approach to music. Yet while the champion of hyperrealism, Noah Creshevsky, describes his music as being written in a language we already understand (realism) yet in an exaggerated manner (hyper) - I have to add that things on this album do not sound exaggerated at all. Moreover, I have the feeling that somehow on this work, Jan is trying to underwhelm us. In the best possible way. Because clouds float trough and dissolve. Thus instead of hyperrealism, is Jan maybe speaking to us in a certain Serenerealism? Or Mildrealism? What Jan's music does have in common with Creshevsky's is the no rush part. Listening to 'Halki Pilvien' makes time non-directional. The music seems to be designed to be played over and over again. This music has no direct impact like one can experience at a punk show, or at a classical music concert. This music is not that one gigantic raincloud covering the world dark. Quite the opposite, it is a pattern of clouds and clearings, floating over the lands. Trough this music a shadow play appears. This music is durable. The Albums: 1968-1972 (14lp/black)
1968 to 1972, saw the release of 6 studio albums from folk's first supergroup Pentangle. Featuring the songwriting talents of guitarists Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, alongside bassist Danny Thompson, drummer Terry Cox and singer Jacqui McShee, their innovative folk-fusion encompassed elements of jazz as well as pop, which left a lasting influence and legacy. The first 5 albums were released on legendary folk label Transatlantic, while 'Solomon's Seal' (1972), on the Reprise label, was their final album with the original line-up. Now for the first time ever, these albums are available as a 14LP deluxe box set. Each album has been expanded with a wealth of bonus material, including choice selections from contemporaneous solo LPs by Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, out-takes and live tracks. Across the package, there is an impressive amount of 22 recordings which are previously unreleased on LP. Some of the albums are being reissued on vinyl for the first time in decades with 'Solomon's Seal' last being released as an LP in 1977, shortly followed by 'Reflection' in 1980. Each album is presented in a gatefold sleeve replicating the original artwork. These are housed in an rigid slipcase box alongside an special gatefold holding a 64-page book awash with rare images and over 20,000 words of sleeve-notes, which include: a Q&A culled from past interviews by author Mick Houghton with Bert, John and Jacqui, essays about each album by a variety of music journalists (Stuart Penney, Trevor Leeden, Nigel Cross, Colin Irwin, Lois Wilson and Jim Wirth), a lengthy chronology, and track-by-track details. The records have been remastered from the best available sources, with careful referencing of original tapes and vinyl where relevant. The master disc cutting is handled by Pauler Acoustics in Germany, renowned for their audiophile-quality releases. They utilize original Neumann VMS-82 cutting lathes and the Direct Metal Mastering (DMM) process, ensuring unmatched transparency and clarity. From there, the records are pressed at Puristamo in Helsinki, Finland, a plant known for its meticulous attention to detail and sustainability practices. Every record undergoes thorough hand inspection for quality. We've spared no effort to preserve the integrity of these brilliant albums - you can expect a listening experience worthy of their legacy.

Due to high demand, Svart Records releases the represses of Wigwam's early works on vinyl once again. The Finnish legends in Wigwam are no strangers to fans of progressive rock around the world. Their debut album 'Hard N' Horny' from 1969 and the following 'Tombstone Valentine' from 1970 are a couple of cornerstones among many in their impeccable discography. The previous Svart editions of these absolute classics by the pioneers of early progressive rock date back to 2019, so it was about time to bring back these must-haves to the market. Wigwam's sophomore album 'Tombstone Valentine' uniquely stands on its own as not only a precursor to what was still to come but also a spectacular album bubbling over with soul searching folk/psych/prog leanings. Kim Fowley, a producer from America, was so excited about Wigwam's debut album 'Hard N' Horny,' that he decided to come to Finland to produce their second album 'Tombstone Valentine.' The album is not as experimental as their debut, but partly because of that it's also a more coherent and a better-balanced effort. The line-up had changed slightly, as this was Pekka Pohjola's debut with Wigwam. Guitarist Nikke Nikamo left the band during the recording of the album, so the guitar parts are delivered by Jukka Tolonen and Heikki Laurila, who never officially joined the band.

In the year 1996 in the village of Kolomwe in central Zambia there was a young boy called Waina. One day he met the local sangoma, who had a prophecy where Waina had a major part to revamp the legacy of Zamrock in a different time and era. The witch doctor said that you will meet three rockers from the land of a thousand of lakes and together you will make history. The young and naive Waina didn't believe a word, until years later the prophecy came true and Zangoma was born. Zangoma hails from Tampere, Finland and comprises of the Zambian vocalist Waina Kolomwe, singer/guitarist Ville Salonen, singer/bassist Riku Pirttiniemi (Death Hawks, Dust Mountain), and drummer Miikka Heikkinen (Death Hawks). They play Zamrock, a genre that gained popularity in Zambia during the '70s. It's a fusion of traditional African music and psychedelic-, garage-, and hard rock with some funk and blues in the mix as well. Bands like Black Sabbath, Funkadelic, The Rolling Stones, Blue Cheer, Cream and Deep Purple had a major part in shaping the music.

Infinite Fog are delighted to present another piece of the intriguing Coil puzzle. In the mid 1990s the core team of John Balance and Peter Christopherson were continuing their exploration of the outer reaches of electronic sound production as exemplified by the 'Born Again Pagans' release, originally an EP only, featuring both the hugely danceable 'Protection' smash which had Danny Hyde's influence writ in large letters all over it, as well as the first outings of their intriguing more ambient/glitch-based ElpH material, probably their most haunting and haunted works. This 2CD anthology re-edition collects all of the ElpH material which didn't appear on their later 'Worship The Glitch' album, namely the 'pHILM #1' 10", a host of very rare compilation tracks as well as a number of at the time unreleased pieces in the same vein. The stunningly presented release also features the ElpH entity's last ever appearance originally available as part of Raster Noton's award winning 20 to 2000 series of releases, the 'Zwölf' EP. All of the material has been lovingly remastered by Jessica Thompson with re-imagined design-work by Oleg Galay and it includes a replica of the original St. Sebastian on acid poster.

Pulsator
Cleaning Women's 'Pulsator' back on the market for the first time on wax. Cleaning Women was founded in Finland back in 1996. The band is known for their self-made instruments, androgynous image, and including interdisciplinary arts in their live performances. Cleaning Women is an experimental group consisting of three cleaning robots (CW01, CW03 and CW04). Besides their unique music, Cleaning Women is known for their alternative ways in choosing their instruments. The origin of their acoustic sound can be traced to self-made and self-customized instruments, which are crafted from mangled household items or material salvaged from trash bins. But what it is that makes them really special is the way they sound. Even though the starting point is avant-gardish and experimental, the end result is jaw-dropping combination of skilled musicianship, original soundscapes and easily accessible, even danceable music - a combination of cinematic sci-fi western and sparkling trash can disco. The 2001 debut album 'Pulsator' already had the band's high standards to use only self-made instruments in the studio as well as performing live. The universe of sound heard on 'Pulsator' consists of mic'd and tuned up clothes racks, strings set up on the hanger rods of wardrobes, a wine fermentation vessel, jars, buckets and other scrap material, bizarre vocal parts with partially made-up languages, and a scat-solo by legendary Finnish artist M.A. Numminen.

Moroccan Electroacoustic Music 1972-74
Composer Ahmed Essyad was born in Salé, Morocco, in 1938. After studying music at the Rabat Conservatoire (Morocco) he moved to Paris in 1962, where he became a student of Max Deutsch and, later, his assistant. Trained in the avant-garde practices of Western musical composition, he also claimed the Amazigh folk music of Morocco as a fundamental source of inspiration for his work. In 1965, he was already incorporating elements of oral tradition in his work so as to question the language of his time, and therefore had to cope with the limits of musical notation and communication with musicians who did not share his cultural references. It was difficult to agree on what was implicit, 'behind the notes,' especially regarding the management of musical time and micro-intervals. In search of new compositional tools, he turned to electro-acoustic music. Working in a studio made it possible for him to be the interpreter of his own work, which ensured a certain continuity with music of oral tradition. The pieces presented here were produced between 1972 and 1974 in a studio dedicated to electro-acoustic music, the S.M.E.C.A, which was part of the Music Workshop founded by Jorge Arriagada in Paris. The studio was equipped with EMS and Minimoog synthesizers, a piano, a marimba, a xylophone, as well as various percussion instruments and a tape delay system.

This is the third release by Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantomas, Trio Convulsant, various with John Zorn) and Kevin Rutmanis (Tomahawk, Melvins, Cows, Hepa/Titus). On this outing Trevor joins Lords and Lady Kevin (duo of Kevin Rutmanis and drummer/artist Gina Skwoz) for a full length LP 'Last Days At Hot Slit.' Songs are loosely based on assorted gospel, blues and jazz songs, some original, some covers. Included is a re-working of Mingus' 'Devil Woman.' The trio based the pieces on improvisations that were then arranged and used to build free standing songs. A multitude of instruments were exploited by all those involved, to create a sizzling blend of aural delicacies. The album title is from a collection by writer Andrea Dworkin, often sited as the Celine of feminism. Less outre perhaps than their previous recordings, these songs hover somewhere between soundtrack-like excursions, to jazz/blues mutations to a demented "rock" sounding affair. Something for everybody, or perhaps, nobody! Uniting former and current members of Tomahawk, 'Last Days At Hot Slit' marks a powerful reunion between Rutmanis and Dunn. The record took shape gradually, born from Rutmanis's raw, unconventional bass recordings. "I sent Trevor a phone recording of some hideous bass racket and asked if he wanted to add anything," Rutmanis shares. "What he sent back was something like delicious fresh cherries with ice and banana slices." The pair's combined creativity gave rise to a new, immersive soundscape, while their collaborative piece, 'Crack Pot Whore Head,' set the tone for the current formation of Lords and Lady Kevin.

It is orchestral music produced with electronic devices and voices of Chinese singer Wu Jiang, David Moss, Diamanda Galas, Udo Scheuerpflug, Margarete Huber and the Moabiter Motettenchor. It was broadcasted in full length on 'Deutschlandradio Kultur' in 2009. "The Klingons are martial bullheads. They are known as the warlike people from the planet Thlingan from the TV series 'Star Trek.' But the Klingons also love music and poetry. Their greatest poet was Shakespeare from Earth, who was supposedly one of their own. The Klingon opera 'juHrop' (pronounced tschuch-rop, meaning homesickness) plays unrestrainedly with timpani and trumpets on a heroic monumental orchestra, enriched by synthetic Gregorian chants and electronic hi- and lofi effects. The story is as bloodthirsty and heartbreaking as its setting. The vocals are Klingon and Chinese." (Frieder Butzmann).

'THE COMPLETE DEMO RECORDINGS 1989-1993' - Necropsy is one of the few really legendary bands of the obscure Finnish death metal scene of the late '80s/early '90s. Dark and twisted death metal in the vein of early Sentenced, early Amorphis, Convulse, Demigod, Purtenance, Demilich and Abhorrence. The band hailing from Lahti, Finland was formed in 1987 and released the material presented on this compilation before taking a 14 year long hiatus starting in 1994. Founding member Janne Kosonen along with his brother Tero re-established Necropsy in 2008 and they are still active to this day. 'Tomb Of The Forgotten (The Complete Demo Recordings 1989-1993),' originally released by Century Media in 2013, is the first ever official demo compilation fully authorized by the band and includes Necropsy's all early recordings with 40 tracks in total. The entire audio material has been carefully remastered from the original master tapes at DMS Mastering (Grave, Morbid, Asphyx) for the best possible audio quality.
