PSYCHEDELIC/PROGRESSIVE/FOLK

Psychotic Monks
Talking Through Repetition (2lp)
Very renowned for their ability to offer high-flying concerts, fiery, experimental, Psychotic Monks have decided to record their current live set in the legendary Ile-de-France studios La Frette (Nick Cave, Arctic Monkeys, etc.), in one take, with the desire to share the vital essence of their music. Produced by Daniel Fox (Gilla Band, Lambrini Girls, Sprints, etc.) Released on black and translucent red vinyl.

Elandill
Elandill
A lovely, unusual piece of British, pastoral, progressive, chamber rock. Five elegant, melodic well-structured and always engaging songs with deeply trippy lyrics, spiced up by episodes of West Coast-inspired lead guitar and flute jamming. Clearly dating from the classic "turnover" year of 1970/1 this album would have fitted perfectly on 'Pink Scroll' era Charisma Records. We hear echoes of very early Yes, 'Trespass'-era Genesis, Audience, Jethro Tull and Family but really it is its own self. Carefully restored from the only known acetate by Reynolds Mastering. Limited to 227 copies.

Ultra Smooth Swagger Band
Ote Sho'digs
The sound of the pre-Afghan/Greatcoat UK underground exudes from every inch of The Ultra Smooth Swagger Band who merge Neil Young-esque west-coast jams, melodic progressive Help Yourself/Man-style twin-guitar smokers and propulsive Pink Fairies style rockers on this LP, originally recorded in 1972. Eight tracks carefully recovered from the original tape, opening with the sucker-punch of 'Turn Me On Dead Man,' ending with the 11-minute guitar-fest 'It Grows On You.' Recommended to those who wear embroidered denim shirts and love the smell of a Nepalese Temple Ball. Limited to 227 copies.

Nitro Cosmetic
Nitro Cosmetic
Nitro Cosmetic are Milo Smee and Demian Castellanos - Milo is an electronic music producer for nearly 20 years, he is the main drive behind several electronic dance music projects, and has released music as Kruton and Binary Chaffinch on Dissident, D.C Recordings and I'm A Cliche. He is also one of the founders/brains behind the unique doom disco ensemble Chrome Hoof. Demian Castellanos is best known as the man behind The Oscillation as well as Autotelia and BOOZE (among many others) but it was in BOOZE that both Demian and Milo first wrote and played together. Across ten tracks Nitro Cosmetic concoct a heady mix of pulverising Beefheart/Devo esk jagged ferocity coupled with the driving heavy electronics that is alternately mammoth and meditative. The music rushes forth - a punk noir dissonance that conjures up a collision of Siouxsie and the Banshees at their most uncompromising and then cross pollinated with the acid house scene of the late eighties. The rampaging opening track 'Negative Inversion' has a Teutonic, mechanized, nihilistic charge that leads you into a sonic black hole, it is a brutal mix that is uncompromisingly harsh and metallic (think Chrome). Each track feels like a sonic rush layered with a wall of sound approach, combining kinetic and jagged grooves, flashing and chaotic as the psychedelic soundscapes of chaos that has been created lead you sinking into the furthest and darkest reaches of the human psyche. By the time 'Pulsed Detonation' lands with its fusion of pulsating, repetitive oppressive beats landing like a jack hammer to the skull your third eye will be ready to pop out. Nitro Cosmetic is avant-garde and experimental - not a single note, sample or headache-inducing drum hit is out of place, the amount of layers that unfold with each listen is incredible - So please tune in and turn onto Nitro Cosmetic. Heavy rose coloured vinyl, presented in a 350gsm gloss laminated outer sleeve with incredible artwork by Jake Blanchard. Co-release with Feeding Tube.

Chemistry Set
An Introduction To The Chemistry Set (2cd)
The 2CD set contains two and a half hours of music selected by Paul Lake and Dave McLean from the band's Fruits de Mer back-catalogue (and a little bit more besides), with all tracks remastered. The 2CD set mixes original songs with a handful of classy covers of classic songs (including songs originally recorded by Hendrix, Arthur Lee and Del Shannon), it includes tracks from their album 'This Day Will Never Happen Again,' released before they discovered Fruits de Mer(!) along with Paul and Dave's first-ever solo recordings, now released on CD for the first time.

Sendelica
The Complete Mankind (8cd)
This quadrilogy of albums was originally intended to be a trilogy of double albums concerning 'Mankind,' but after the 'Man Myth & Magic album,' Pete still felt there was unfinished business regarding mankind which ultimately led to the recording of the 'Requiem For Mankind' saga. Now, 'The Complete Mankind' brings everything together, includes all four albums over four CDs and a further four CDs of demos, outtakes and remixes. Fifty-one tracks in total in this mammoth eight CD set. Limited to 200 copies. "A sonic journey from mysterious cyclic ambience through bluesy, jazzy psychedelia to bird song, delicate piano, wordless singing, blazing guitar lines, cathedral organ, doom-laden power chords, saxophone, analog synths, orchestral swells, to symphonic psych and beyond." ~Expose.org

L'ira Del Baccano/yama
Tempvs Deorvm
In the summer of 2015, against the backdrop of the Italian Dolomites, a friendship between two European heavy underground bands was struck. Now, a decade later, Roman psych-doom formation L'Ira Del Baccano and Tilburgian doom rock outfit Yama join forces in a musical collaboration: their split album 'Tempvs Deorvm,' released on Subsound Records (Italy). The background in 2025 is less picturesque, the bands see this international collaboration as an artistic response to emerging nationalistic navel-gazing. L'Ira's contribution comprises a drawn-out instrumental psych doom jam, in which they fully expand the concept of an ever-evolving song, taking a theme and leading it on a dynamic roller-coaster journey, reshaping it through the heaviness of doom, the tension, physicality, and psychedelia of improvisation, and the precision of progressive rock. Yama brings some of their doomiest tracks to the table and experiments with psychedelic drone elements, in collaboration with producer David Luiten (Autarkh). 'Tempvs Deorvm' ('Time Of The Gods') is not only an allegorical congregation of deities, it is a bastion for the confluence between two manifestations of psychedelic heaviness.

Tecu, Matt -& Fernando Perdomo-
Getting Warmer
Imagine Barry White running a studio with Serge Gainsbourg twisting the dials - that's 'Getting Warmer.' LA's Matt Tecu and Fernando Perdomo turn up the heat in this steamy sophomore follow-up to 2024's 'Art.' Recorded in two sultry days, these ten tracks ooze seduction-from the slinky 'Low Hanging Fruit' to the fizzy 'Tarte A La Crème' (with Cheyenne Crowe's velvet vocals). Foo Fighter Rami Jaffee's keys ignite 'Sweat Weather,' while 'Club Lingerie' struts into after-hours industrial bliss. Sophisticated yet raw, it's Steely Dan scoring a late-night jazz flick - your CD player might need a cold shower. RIYL: Built To Spill, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Khruangbin.

Dr. Strangely Strange
Anti-inflammatory
Ireland's psychedelic docs, Dr. Strangely Strange, are back after 28 years with 'Anti-Inflammatory' _ a cure for a mad world, no prescription needed. The original crew, still electric, join `newbie' Joe Thoma (fiddle-mandolin vet since '80) in a Clonakilty studio under Brian Casey's watch. Tim Goulding's 'Like Water Like Wind' mourns like a soft breeze, Ivan Pawle's 'Drive `Em Down' ropes a cattle-romance, and Tim Booth's 'Baby Bunting' rides a Bo Diddley pulse to the beyond. Since 1997's 'Alternative Medicine,' fans waited _ this is their strange, soulful remedy.

Trad, Gras Och Stenar
Live At Club 19 Pori, Finland 20th April 2005
Few bands carry the weight of history with such light-footed grace as Träd, Gräs och Stenar. More than just a group, they are a living conduit for the currents of collective expression, resistance, and transcendence that have defined Sweden's underground music landscape since the late 1960s. Their sound-raw, organic, and untamed-has pulsed through decades, defying the strictures of genre and time, thriving in the liminal space between rock's primal drive and the fluidity of communal improvisation. This live recording from Club 19 in Pori, Finland, captures the band in full flight in 2005, decades after their first sonic explorations with Pärson Sound, International Harvester, and the earliest incarnations of TGS. The lineup on this night - Bo Anders Persson (guitar & vocal), Mera Gartz (drums & vocal), Torbjörn Abelli (bass), and Jakob Sjöholm (guitar) - represents the last iteration of the classic group before Abelli's passing in 2010, making this document all the more poignant. The performance itself is a masterclass in controlled chaos, with molten guitar lines, hypnotic yet groovy bass figures, and percussive mantras that stretch like a breathing organism. Träd, Gräs och Stenar's music has always been deeply ritualistic, built not only on the architectures of conventional song structures, but on the trust and intuition of musicians locked in an unspoken dialogue. Here, that dialogue unfolds in expansive jams that nod to both traditional rock motifs and cosmic freeform explorations. Pori has long held a special place in the world of leftfield music, with its history as a stronghold for Finnish jazz, "erikoismusiikki" and experimental rock, and this night at Club 19 was no exception. The audience, no doubt attuned to the deeper resonances of trance-inducing repetition and distortion-washed musique, became part of the experience-a key participant in the feedback loop between musician and listener. Originally recorded by Aki Peltonen in 2005 and given a careful restoration by his son Tyko Tuulivaara, this release benefits from the sonic expertise of Jussi Lehtisalo (Circle), ensuring that every note, drone, and ecstatic climax is rendered to its vividest detail. The visual aspects of the record-assembled by Musta kirahvi using the original 2005 concert poster he made-further cements the feeling of temporal flux. Listening to Live at Club 19 is more than just experiencing a TGS concert through a physical medium; it is a reminder of music's ability to exist beyond the constraints, beyond expectation, or ego. It is the sound of four musicians surrendering to the moment, channeling something way older and way wilder than themselves personally, leaving behind a trail of sonic stardust that still burns slowly in contemporary rock-based music nearly two decades later. Limited to 500 copies.

Courtis, Anla -ja Lehtisalo-
1972
A meeting of minds across continents, '1972' unites two underground visionaries: Anla Courtis, the Argentine experimentalist known for his boundary-pushing work with Reynols, and Jussi Lehtisalo, the Finnish avant-rock architect behind Circle, Pharaoh Overlord, and Ektro Records. Their collaboration unfolds as an abstract, free-flowing dialogue - an exercise in sonic alchemy where the hypnotic collides with the microtonal. '1972' nods to an era when sound was an experiment - a space to explore rather than define. Yet this album is no mere exercise in nostalgia. Instead, Courtis and Lehtisalo reassemble fragments of past and future into something fluid, organic, and timeless. Their music moves beyond linear time, dissolving the boundaries between structure and chaos, improvisation and composition, the ancient and the unknown. Limited to 300 copies on orange vinyl.
GARAGE/BEAT/SURF/ROCK’N’ROLL

Hellacopters
1995 (black)
Reissue of debut single on Freak Scene Records by superb Swedish rockers The Hellacopters! If high energy rock'n'roll is your thing, then this is surely the band for you! These three songs combine the raw energy of punk with the over top guitar antics and aural assault normally found on MC5 and Stooges records. Hear for yourself what all the hype is about. These guys rock!

Ugly Sounds
Never Say I'm Doomed
The Rippers have been digging up garage-punk dust and ash from Sardinian caves for years. Now, from their ashes, Ugly Sounds continue the unfinished work: an ultra-primitive, feverish and criminal sound, a writhing marine animal with a hook stuck in its palate, forced to gulp down lungfuls of oxygen that, instead of satiating it, lead it to agony. The Sardinian trio's teen-punk is a beast that trembles and knows no rest. The eleven songs on their debut are pervaded by a hooligan voracity that seems to want to swallow everything, including us. A triplet like 'I'm Not Like You,' 'New God In The City' and 'You Can't Keep Me Satisfied' will be unbearable for those who have gone soft, including their genitals, chasing the new "albums of the month" of the asshole magazine that comes out on newsstands. And from the way they cleaned it up, it doesn't do that either. So you might as well give your ass a good scrape with a roll of garage punk coarse sandpaper. You might not find any better ones around. (Reverendo Lys - RUMORE MAG (2025)

Boris Bond
Sounds Of Movies Never Made
"Boris Bond follows the call of the West Balkan mountains and the waves of Southern California. While we celebrate and love the classic surf sound and instrumental surf music is one of our biggest influences, the music of Bosnia - where one of our guitarists was born and raised - and punk (all members previously played in punk bands) are also essential parts of our musical identity. Our mission is to capture moods, play with them, and bring them to life in the mental cinema. That's why our debut album is called 'Sounds Of Movies Never Made.'" "This is the perfect music for world peace... Eastern scales and American instruments, peacefully and harmoniously in love!"

POP/ROCK/WAVE/NOISE

Chokebore
A Taste For Bitters (black)
Chokebore's 'A Taste For Bitters', without a doubt one of the most iconic and esteemed albums from one of the most influential indie bands of the past three decades. Reissued for the first time on vinyl. Japanese immport. The best straight-up pop rock number by Lovely Summer-chan, the single released in 2016 is finally available in analog form! A-side 'Part-Time Robot' is full of love and respect for UK rock, and as you can tell from the cover, it pays homage to Weezer's classic 'Beverly Hills.' B-side is a cover of 'Nagai Tameiki No You Ni' by the brilliant Green, a band Lovely Summer-Chan has loved since she was in the third grade of junior high school.

Von Balthazar, Troy
Aloha Means Goodbye (black)
A double comeback for Chokebore's Hawaiian frontman Troy Von Balthazar, who follows up the reissue of the iconic Black Black with a soothing seventh solo album. Recorded over the course of 2024 in autarky, in his Angoulême home studio, Aloha Means Goodbye is the modest, alleviating work of an artist who has rebuilt himself through his art. Often more acoustic than electric, wandering between light and shadow, these twelve tracks are adorned with melancholy trappings but exude a comforting warmth, like a balm for flayed souls. Released on black vinyl.

Wright, Shannon
Reservoir Of Love (black)
Shannon Wright, American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, delivers her eleventh album in 25 years, Reservoir of Love. Embodying the essence of her unique style, it delivers songs where intensity is sometimes embodied in electric rock blazes, sometimes in heartrending ballads, adorned with choirs and strings, the warm sound of a Wurlitzer, a guitar or a piano. Haunted by illness and bereavement, produced in solitude, this album is bursting with energy, light and love. Black vinyl version.

Chokebore
Black Black
Vicious Circle continues its reissues of the enchanting career of Chokebore. Firefly), and Marc Sospedra (Maren). Produced by Martin García Duque and released by Hoot Records, The Excitements' own label.

Stunbolt, Dick
Dick Stunbolt
The debut album by Dick Stunbolt was released digitally December 6, 2024 but now it isl also be available on vinyl as a joint venture between Denmark's Accelerator Records and Sweden's Rakamarow Records. Get ready for a timeless masterpiece! "You almost gave up, we know. But this is the rock album you deserve after the long and boring wait that begun in the late seventies. It's not that this sounds old, even if the elements are there, but it just has that flavor of the ever evolving rock that every enthusiastic lover of the genre has been craving for for decades. The organic, dynamic, playful, don't give a shit, super-mega-stardom-attitude. With a twist. It's Dick Stunbolt. I met this guy after he taped a letter and a demo to my window, and I had no idea, what he was ramblin' about. But somehow I couldn't get him out of my head. Who is he? Is he insane? Can he be trusted? And, what the fuck? But the music on that tape just somehow demanded to be released, and hey, you gotta take som chances, right?" ~Claus Wrang Riis Michaelsen/Accelerator Records.

British Lions
Trouble With Women
When rock hands you lemons, British Lions made 'Trouble With Women' - a 1978 lightning bolt born from glorious disaster. Forget Hollywood endings: their Starwood Club showcase flopped, the band teetered, and chaos reigned (think wayward cats and a hepatitis cameo). Yet from RAK Studios emerged a beast - thunderous rock laced with Morgan Fisher's electronic wizardry, vocoders dueling vintage riffs. US suits sniffed it was 'too cold and hard' - their loss. Cherry Red saw the diamond in the rough: defiance dressed in sharp suits, turning turmoil into a masterpiece. Newly remastered and expanded, this is what happens when desperation meets genius - and wins. RIYL: Mott The Hoople, Thin Lizzy, UFO, Aerosmith, Queen.

Various
Girls To The Front
'Girls To The Front' present 14 young Dutch bands that have one thing in common; they're all female fronted! A broad range of styles; (post) punk, grunge, gothic and electro. But it all fits perfectly. The war against patriarchy starts here! Includes songs by L.A. Sange, Chattermag, Dear Omen, Maha, Prom Vagabond, Death Sells, Limerent, Vals Alarm, Ioana Iorgu, C'est Qui?, Femme Fugazi, Kate Oram, Waterschade and Consensual Peggy.

We Came As Dirt
Cursed Into Meaning
"The end of the world will still be there in the morning." On their debut full length album 'Cursed Into Meaning,' We Came As Dirt laments the state of the world and the human condition in a little under 30 minutes of nervous abandon. Born of despair and tossed into meaning, the songs are testimony to privilege, catholic guilt and cynical resignation. The album can be regarded as a collection of snippets of nightmare note pad entries and streams of conscious anxiety. The sense of defeat in the lyrics is real, but We Came As Dirt never turns jaded or bitter. Things are terrible, but hey, they have been here since forever, right? With the attitude of a punk/hardcore kid from the nineties trying to satisfy its schizophrenic taste in music, We Came As Dirt alternates straight forward hardcore grooves with weird-timed breaks and tempo switches. These quick-change songs push several buttons at unexpected moments, leaving the listener nauseous, disoriented and excited for another spin. For fans of Coalesce, The Jesus Lizard, Botch, Harkonen, Unsane.

Mariani, Dom
Jangleland/day After Day
Dom Mariani, legendary frontman of garage rockers The Stems and power pop heroes DM3, steps away from his current blues-heavy outfit Datura4 to return to his jangle pop roots. This solo single on Rogue Records is an ode to the electric folk rock of the late '60s and the sun-kissed West Coast vibe of the early '70s. Dom is supported by the top Australian musicians on both tracks, showcasing the unique West Australian guitar pop flavor he helped pioneer from the late '80s onwards. 'Jangleland' is a Dom Mariani composition, while 'Day After Day' is a Badfinger cover.
PUNK/HARDCORE

Lane
Pictures Of A Century (2lp)
Featuring members of the French cult indie rock band Les Thugs, Lane's second album is a collection of melodic punk and power pop hits. For fans of Les Thugs, Husker Du and Foo Fighters. Double black vinyl version.

Reglement
Sous Contention
Electro-punk band from Paris with members of Frustration, a mix of Métal Urbain, Ho66o6, Sleaford Mods and Ich Bin. What would happen if you'd mix Métal Urbain in a straightjacket, Suicide crushed on pills and Ich Bin deprived of irony? From French synth-punk duo Règlement, 'Sous Contention' tries its best to explore mental health and its institutions. Dealing with pains, addictions and trying to cope with it. A 6 tracks synthpunk LP, 100% French lyrics, fueled by personal experience, fear, anger and love.

Horrid Human Condition
Perpetual Imbalance
The songs that are in the album were composed between the summer of 2022 and the first months of 2023. The approach of the band in composition was very much equal: every component brought some songs in the practice room that were played and reviewed together. Alessandro (vocals) wrote all the lyrics. In the songwriting process all the influences from all the band members (similar but different in micro-details) came out, with influences from '80s Italian hardcore to the more modern American grindcore scene. The lyrics convey the strong dread that every person feels when they realize that the world they live in is not made for them, but for the conservation of power of the small ruling minority. For fans of Doom, Skitsystem, Wolfbrigade, Disfear, Disrupt, Dropdead, Dystopia, Tragedy, Fall Of Efrafa, Ekkaia, Napalm Death, Extreme Noise Terror, Nails.

Jeffery Sez
Building Rafts Out Of Burnt Bridges
Jeffery Sez encapsulated the Canadian 1990s sound with heartfelt blue-collar echoes of grunge and pop-punk. The Victoria-based group persevered over a decade of nationwide tours and independent releases while playing their anthems hard and loud. 12 songs from their peak period, 1998-2004, remastered by Brad Boatright. Deluxe large-format 8-page booklet with their story, photos, and lyrics. Plus, a sticker! "Reminiscent of early Soundgarden and Bad Religion. Jeffery Sez has stomped its first step towards rock and roll superstardom." ~Matt Ramsey, Victoria News, 1999. "A great combination of rock, alternative and punk music. Every song has the potential to become a hit." ~David Percival, Positively Sooke, 2000.
INDUSTRIAL/EXPERIMENTAL/NOISE/NEOFOLK/GOTHIC

Water Damage
Instruments (2lp)
Water Damage is ten people from one town and one sound from twelve people. For 'Instruments,' the plus two are guitarist David Grubbs and saxophonist Patrick Shiroishi, neither of whom blunt the angle or confound the aim. The tempo? Slow and low. Four tracks, averaging twenty minutes each, the pace never above a comfortable walk. The damage creeps, a forest becomes a mountain, and the faithful move forward. The album is named after Fugazi, in a manner, and 'Reel 25' takes after the Shocklee Brothers, in a cry. Stop asking the lord how many drummers this band has and and ask him how much of your mind, babe. Some people say drone and same people say trance and some people say invocation through patterned unity. Some people just say rock and we let them set their clocks back. Lie down and let these holy treads flatten you. Just because Water Damage know what they are doing doesn't mean you have to. Fix your hearts or die! Limited to 300 copies.

Phonolab
Disturbia (black)
Phonolab is a collaborative project from Anglo-Italian musician, solo artist and producer Gaudi and experimental electronica composer Eraldo Bernocchi. Both fearless creators known for pushing the boundaries of sound for almost four decades, the duo's album 'Disturbia' features contributions from heavyweights including Gerald Casale (Devo), Flowdan, Bill Laswell and the late Mark Stewart (The Pop Group). With its eclectic blend of electronic innovation, deep basslines, and cutting-edge sound design, 'Disturbia' challenges and captivates listeners with its bold, genre-defying vision, resulting in a deeply immersive and forward-thinking sonic experience. The title of the album was created by late post-punk pioneer and lead singer of The Pop Group, Mark Stewart, who was recording with Phonolab, shortly before he died. Some of the disruption and creative defiance Stewart embodied can be heard throughout the album including tracks such as the glitchy 'Lapis Lazuli' and album title track, 'Disturbia.' The album acts as a homage to one of the most influential post-punk pioneers the UK music scene has ever seen. Stewart was already friends with both Bernocchi and Gaudi, but unaware of the fact that the two "sonic mavericks" had known each over for over three decades. Seperately, Stewart was working on vocals with Bernocchi inspired by the dark atmospherics of the Sigillum S project, while simultaneously in discussion with Gaudi regarding a future collaboration. It was during the recording of the album that Bernocchi and Gaudi felt Stewart's input would be invaluable to the outcome of the record and one track in particular: the album title track. Initially, vocals Stewart had recorded with Bernocchi were synchronized and with additional vocals added by Stewart, the unsettling 'Disturbia' was born. Elsewhere, other notable contributions on the album include Gerald Casale of Devo, who provides striking vocals via 'Phunk Investigation,' and adds a futuristic yet minimalist dimension to the album. 'Disturbia' also features UK grime icon and Grammy Award winner Flowdan whose powerful vocal presence brings an urban and unsettled intensity to the project. Another key figure on the album is American bassist, composer and music producer Bill Laswell who features on two tracks.

Kayros, Dalila
Khthonie (black)
In 'Khthonie's land, boundaries dissolve; the voice rises like an ancestral cry from the future, transforming into a message for the present. In Khthonie, the earth becomes a symbol of unity and the synthesis of diversity. 'Khthonie' is the song of a metamorphosis that subverts rigidity to embrace the multi-headed dragon, whose voice speaks with a multitude of timbres. Following its vital motion, the voice becomes a scream, a whisper, a babble, and speech, with words acting as a vehicle for thought saturated with emotion. 'Khthonie' is the soundtrack of a post-apocalyptic world driven by a profound desire for hope and reconstruction. For this reason, the sound merges contrasts: clean and distorted tones, obsessive rhythms, and expansive, atmospheric spaces. In 'Khthonie,' the timeline branches out, generating new directions. 'Khthonie' captures the sound of the earth's dual forces-creation and destruction-of life emerging from the underground. The album was born from the collaboration between the duo Dalila Kayros and Danilo Casti, from Sardinia island, who chose to embrace an high-risk compositional process: the stage becomes a laboratory of creation, interaction, and instant communication, while the music evolves as a living entity invoked during the act of performance. 'Khthonie' is a scream for a free earth, a cry from the underground for these apocalyptic times. "When you sing, you are giving your breath to another person, to the collective or to the wind. You are expressing your emotions in the present. It could be happy, but it could be very bad too."

A Handful Of Dust
Dream Songs (2cd)
Another collaboration of Romain Perrot (Vomir, Decimation Sociale label) with Bruce Russell related projects. Liner notes are from Bruce Russell. These recordings have never been released before, and were the last ones before drummer Peter Stapleton passed away. Limited to 200 copies.

Nurse With Wound
Huffin' Rag Blues (2lp)
Here's an expanded edition of one of Nurse With Wound's most intense, unique opuses, so unique that for long-time fans it was a strange, chaotic lounge bizzarie when it first came out. For the first time, all four audio sides are complete (originally, there were only three sides). And to crown it all, a magnificent new cover by the great and talented Babs Santini, who is none other than Steven Stapleton behind his pseudonym of plastic artist, still in the luxurious tradition of the "silver collection" at Rotorelief Records. Nurse with Wound's album 'Huffin' Rag Blues' is unique in NWW's discography. Stapleton teams up with composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Liles, his co-creator of musical terrorism, to tackle the exotica and lounge genres, crushed into a cacophonous mess. Long-time NWW friends Colin Potter and Matt Waldron are also on board. Blues, jazz, crime films, bachelor pads and soap opera music are processed and discarded, then chopped up and recycled in a mix that contains a ton of space, but also overflows with dynamic tension, hilarious asides, sexually suggestive poetry and a certain rock & roll abandon. This is a very surprising opus for long-time fans, is like a soundtrack that could illustrate a David Lynch film. It's brilliant, maddening, hilarious and sinister enough to earn a place in any collection with a little quirkiness and eccentricity. 'Huffin' Rag Blues' incorporates more familiar musical elements - including instruments (played live, even), rhythm and vocals - than almost any other Nurse With Wound album to date. The album's main concern is, as always, to create environments for lucid dreaming rather than to create music as such. Limited to 700 copies in metallic silver gatefold sleeve.

New Zero God
Circus Of Tortured Melodies
With Andi Sex Gang (of legendary Sex Gang Children) to welcome us to the 'Circus Of Tortured Melodies,' the tour begins in the 13th Tent of the Circus. Each one of these tents hides a different story which, most of the time, opens the way to the next one. Other times, however, it is completely independent. These are songs about our unfulfilled dreams, the emotional insecurities of modern man, political developments, the manipulation of the family environment, role models of our society, over-consumption, the compromises that we make, and the destruction of our planet. In a nutshell, 'Circus Of Tortured Melodies' presents the complexity of modern life by tracing the sources of modern neurosis.

Putrid Offal
Obliterated Life
'Obliterated Life' is definitely the Putrid Offal's absolute masterpiece of rotten flesh, offering not only a total grinding virulence but sliced by neck breaking grooves and odd time signatures. A curveball of scholar pathologicism!

Kfr
Pain/ter
KFR is the main musical project of the artist Maxime Taccardi which he describes as the sonic translation of his paintings. It takes the shape of a vile and nightmarish black metal coupled with unsettling dark ambient. For fans of Abruptum, Silencer, Bethlehem, Shining, Gnaw Their Tongues, Blut Aus Nord, Deathspell Omega, Sortsind. Comes on clear/blood splatter vinyl.

Chicharron
Estrella Tropical
Debut album from French-Chilean combo Chicharron! A record with multiple South American influences that blows the cumbia scene out of the water. Available only on CD.

Loire Valley Calypsos
Mon Gamin
The third album by The Loire Valley Calypsos, 'Mon Gamin,' marks a shift from calypso and Caribbean influences to French songs, though tropical elements still linger. The album evokes themes of travel, nostalgia, and family, with a melancholic tone that contrasts with the sunny musical influences. The band collaborated with two singers, Oriane Lacaille for a French-Reunionese duet and Bia Lética for an ode to Salvador de Bahia. Drawing from psychedelia, Caribbean rhythms, disco, and French chanson, the album mixes genres to express a sense of longing and disillusionment. The group, now fully embracing the French language, continues to master their craft, blending joy and dance in their unique style.

Passion Coco
La Autopista Del Exito
Third album from Passion Coco!! 12 cumbia psychedelic tracks for the great rides! The Passion Coco quartet combines its influences and composes new music where traditional Colombian and more broadly tropical rhythms merge with psychedelic rock ambiances reminding us of the world of spaghetti westerns, all accompanied by sweet perfumed voices.
ELECTRONIC MUSIC/AMBIENT/D’N’B/TRIPHOP

Garaventa
Casual Drama
Debut album by Geneva-based synthwave and krautrock band Garaventa. Celebrating their many influences from the past (Kraftwerk, Gary Numan, Patrick Cowley, Brian Eno, Devo, Tangerine Dream, Suicide, Prince) and the present (Working Men's Club, Snapped Ankles, TVAM, Warmduscher, Fat White Family, Osees) 'Casual Drama' lays the foundations for Garaventa: a glam vibe, a strong taste for dancefloor punk and a constant search for psychedelic trance. Although firmly rooted in the contemporary post-punk revival, 'Casual Drama' claims a genuine filiation with the electro/techno advent of the late '70s and early '80s, and even more so with the Italo-disco and synthpunk movements. The use of electronic drums and synthesizers are at the heart of Garaventa's music. They evolve in vintage and generally disco textures, and are typical of the synthwave and hi-NRG movements of the 1980s as well as those of EBM and contemporary techno, with a more modern sound treatment. Limited to 100 copies on black vinyl.

Tiki Paradise
Chaleur Chaude
With its album 'Chaleur Chaude,' Tiki Paradise has made a shift towards a more modern sound, closer to what we can call today the "global groove" or even "sono mondiale." Two singles ('Con Tu Boya' and 'Italo Mambo') in this new spirit were released on the MaAuLa Records label and were well received by the public and critics. MaAuLa Productions and Tiki Paradise therefore wish to concretize this successful turn with an LP. Six compositions, mixing many influences from around the world with vintage sounds and modern arrangements, form this album, each piece has this eccentric side, quirky as we would say in English, which becomes the trademark of Tiki Paradise. Released on sunglow yellow vinyl.

Stephenson, Jake -& Friends-
Space Is High (2lp/black)
Jake Stephenson was a lovely, positive, gentle guy and a remarkably prolific recording artist. He recorded under dozens of aliases, releasing a steady stream of albums in the '90s - from ambient to trance, dub to drum'n'bass. He died from epilepsy in 2005. 20 years on, thanks to his brother Silas, to Swordfish (another old friend of Jake, who has kindly mastered everything) and two of Jake's partners in creating music - Brian Trower and Matt Hillier - Fdm has been able to put together this retrospective of his more chilled recordings (although let's be honest, Optica do let rip on 'Analogue Spectrum'!). Take your pick between a double LP and a triple CD set (which includes some seriously extended, spaced-out recordings), with Jake appearing as Optica, Dr, Psychedelic, Alien Mutation and Crystal Moon, among his many aliases. Limited to 100 copies on black vinyl.

Roots Rocking Zimbabwe (2lp)
In 1972 black people rarely featured in the country's white-owned official newspapers, unless, perhaps, they were a dead "terrorist." However, Dr Footswitch's performance prompted The Rhodesia Herald to print the picture of their guitar player, Manu Kambani, on the front page along with the screaming sentence "Jimi Hendrix is dead but Manu is alive". With his ability to mimic the mesmerising antics of Jimi Hendrix Manu had impressed everybody and the editor of the paper couldn't resist printing the story. Heavy criticism from conservative whites followed, accusing the Herald of "lowering the standards." But the coverage turned Manu into an emblematic figure in Harare, one of Salisbury's oldest townships, and would influence many youngsters to form their own musical groups. Those bands began fusing rock music, Congolese rumba, South African mbaqanga, soul and traditional beats into an underground music movement that would shape the future of Zimbabwean sound and challenge the colonial establishment. All the commotion started drawing interest from South Africa's industry players and a good number of Rhodesian bands - including The Great Sounds, MD Rhythm Success, Afrique 73, The Hitch-Hikers, The Impossibles and the O.K Success - had managed to get one-off recording deals with Gallo Record on the strength of their live performances. But for some reason the South African giant didn't totally capitalise on the momentum and that vacuum was filled in 1974 by the Teal Record Company who had decided to beef up their Rhodesian subsidiary. Crispen Matema, a prolific drummer with a love for traditional music, was hired to oversee the program. Driving across the country in his Peugeot 504, Matema scouted undiscovered talent, organised live music contests, and booked a small studio in downtown Salisbury. Within a year, he had recorded fantastic bands such The Baked Beans, Blacks Unlimited, New Tutenkhamen, The Acid Band, Echoes Ltd, Gypsy Caravan and many others. To release this flood of music, Teal launched several new imprints, including Afro Soul, Afro Pop, and Shungu. Not to be outdone, Gallo Records finally sent the legendary sax jive producer West Nkosi to Rhodesia to scout for emerging talent. A chance recommendation led him to the Jamaica Inn Hotel, where he encountered The Green Arrows led by the carismatic Zexie Manatsa. By Christmas 1974, their single 'Chipo Chiroorwa' had sold over 25,000 copies, making them the first Rhodesian band to earn a gold disc. In November 1975 Nkosi arranged for another session for The Green Arrows at the Film Project Studios to record the fuzz-drenched 'Towering Inferno,' a tribute to Paul Newman and the crystalline guitar instrumental 'No Delay,' a homage to Steve McQueen. In 1976 the liberation war is raging when Teal began immortalising Thomas Mapfumo on 1/4inch tape. Thomas had just joined forces with the Black Unlimited and The Acid Band and had started modernising traditional songs to great effect. That revolutionary style deeply rooted in Shona culture known as Chimurenga unified all generations under the banner of the liberation struggle. Zexie Manatsa and Thomas Mapfumo massive popularity attracted the attention of the PATU (Police Anti-Terrorist Unit) who didn't like the massive crowds these artists were attracting. As a result Both Manatsa and Mapfumo were arrested and imprisoned. Despite the arrests and the increasing scrutiny from the Rhodesian authorities, the music refused to be silenced. If anything, the repression only strengthened the resolve of Zimbabwean artists such as the enigmatic Tineyi Chikupo, who continued to compose songs that carried the hopes and struggles of the people. By the time Zimbabwe gained independence in 1980, the musicians who had risked everything to give their people a voice emerged as national heroes. The 25 songs presented in this project showcase the birth of the modern music industry in Zimbabwe and the explosion of creativity bands of the 1970s and '80s delivered is endlessly rewarding. It was a time of wild experimentation before established genres had crystallised. Rock, rumba, soul and traditional grooves all collide beautifully in this collection, which also includes never-before-released tracks by Thomas Mapfumo, Oliver Mtukudzi and many other Zimbabwean artists! Gatefold double LP pressed on 140g virgin vinyl comes with a full color 20-pages booklet.

Cocodri
Station Marecage
Cocodri plugs 'Station Marecage' (Swamp Station) and builds a bridge between the two banks of an imaginary river. This fantasy wave is a bit like the Loire, and it's a bit like the Mississippi. We let ourselves float there, like the animal that follows the watercourse: this animal, the Cajuns call it Cocodri. Witness to encounters between cultures, the river brings back musical currents and flows the ink of many stories. It flows in blues waltzes. He sweats the bayou. It swells with swing. It's full of rock enthusiasm. It rustles with waves of old time, bluegrass, folk and rap from the towns and countryside it crosses. In a trio on the bank, Cocodri lets you hear it.

DEAF LIZARD - The Last Odyssey (LP, Electric Valley Records)
"Deaf Lizard do conjure up Progressive based Instrumental Jams along the way with a frenzied Psychedelic approach which can be quite vast within the heavier Cosmic and Space Rock movements that sees the album inject moments of classic NWOBHM along the way before returning to a thrilling Doom/Stoner Metal landscape of pure chaos and down-tuned distortion." (Steve Howe for Outlaws of the Sun)
