Kristian Dunn (El Ten Eleven) and Damon Che (Don Caballero) formed an unexpected yet harmonious collaboration through the matchmaking efforts of Karl Hofstetter, founder of Joyful Noise Recordings. Introduced via email in April 2023, the duo quickly bonded over shared musical adventurousness and humor. Their project culminated in the album See You at the Solipsist Convention, blending Dunn's relentless experimentation with Che's complex polyrhythms into an instrumental rock masterpiece. The album features intricate eight-string bass, dynamic percussion, and syncopated rhythms, offering a genre-defying experience. More than just music, the project celebrates friendship and human connection, underscoring the importance of collaboration.
