Reissued on vinyl in an edition of 500 copies including a gatefold sleeve, this is the 1970 debut-album by UK band Warhorse, formed earlier that year by Deep Purple bassist Nick Simper. With a heavy Hammond organ touch and elements of neoclassical music and heavy blues rock, the band's self-titled album and is a fine example of progressive hard rock of the era. Though often compared to Vertigo label mates Black Sabbath, Warhorse's style and sound basically were much closer to Atomic Rooster and Quatermass.
