Act Your Rage... Again (orange)
In 1989, The Undead released 'Act Your Rage!,' the album often credited with helping to launch the 'Indie Revolution' - selling out it's first pressing of 7,000 units as of its day of release and breaking 10,000 in 3 months. The labels who'd rejected the opportunity to license it weren't pleased as it took over the CMJ college radio charts, making the Top 20 in 400+ stations, and reaching the #1 spot on over 100 stations. 'Put Your Clothes Back On' held #3 at a 100KW Midwest commercial station. Done without the aid of a label staff, Bobby Steele handled all marketing, promotion, and distribution single-handedly. In commemoration of the 35th Anniversary of this album, The Undead returned to the studio with guests from some of punk, metal, and rock's most memorable acts to create all new recordings. Guest musicians besides Bobby Steele (Misfits - 'Horror Business'/'Night Of The Living Dead'/'Halloween'/'3 Hits From Hell' EPs) include Greg Hetson (Bad Religion, Circle Jerks), Dez Cadena (Black Flag), Steve Garvey (Buzzcocks), Rick Rivets (New York Dolls, Corpse Grinders), Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal (Guns N' Roses, Asia), Tim Cappello (Tina Turner, Ringo Starr), Dirk Verbueren (Megadeth), Ace Von Johnson (L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat), Argyle Goolsby (Blitzkid), Alex Story (Doyle, Cancerslug) and young musicians from Alice Cooper's Solid Rock Teen Center.
