Dying At The Party
They play around 200 (!!) live shows all over Europe and in the U.S. every year - just like their musical heroes would dare them to do. Those heroes include the likes of Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers, Iggy & The Stooges, Velvet Underground and The Ramones. The latter also gave the band their credo, which they truly honor: Us against the world. On "Dying at the Party" the power trio celebrates their self-imposed outsiderness. They take a stand against hipster fashion and too-cool-for-school rock gestures. Instead they pack their songs with everyday stuff and stay deliberatly anti-cool. Humor and seriousness have the same weight in their on-the-spot songs. Including pretty ambigious lyrics.
