This Way

Little is known about the highly talented band Tonic, who hail from the Stuttgart region. Their only LP 'This Way' was released in 1980 on the Peak label, and was recorded at Sypgel Studios in Kirchheim/Teck. Peak was one of the labels run by Peter Garattoni and Günther Marek, both active musicians with Eulenspygel. As is often the case, Achim Bosch (Sinner, Iris, Sphinx, Floating Opera, etc.) was responsible for the mixing. After the release of the album, most of the band members returned to the Tiefste Provinz line-up (one album). Only saxophonist Michael Draskowitsch remained active for many years as a session musician on various albums.
