Cigar smoking blues pianist Roosevelt Sykes, a.k.a. the Honeydripper, found his first period of fame when he signed a contract with Decca Records in 1934. In 1943, he joined Bluebird Records and recorded with The Honeydrippers. This CD offers a collection of highlights from his intriguing career.
