Smokemaster
Cosmic Connector
Second studio album of the psychedelic rock band Smokemaster. With 'Cosmic Connector,' the quintet from Cologne presents 6 w pieces with high stylistic diversity and great attention to detail. While the first album still had a large proportion of jam and instrumental parts, now the integration of singer Björnson Bear's warm baritone voice effortlessly ties the songwriting and arrangement together with the instruments, while adding a spicy flare. This can be observed particularly well in songs like the radio-suitable up-tempo number 'Animal' or the groove heavy '70s rock number 'Rolling,' which is cleverly led by the band to a fiery final part reminiscent of Spanish guitar music and flamenco. Smokemaster sends a clear message with the song 'War Piece.' In their first, true rock ballad, the band reaffirms the motto of the hippie movement: Peace & Love. "Full of the sounds of the '60s and '70s. Stoner rock meets psychedelic meets blues. All with handmade charm, with sweat and with passion" the Eclipsed Rock magazine wrote. Comes on yellow vinyl.
