Skeptics (usa)
Apple Candy
The Skeptics from Bartlesville, Oklahoma recorded a total of 6 45rpm's which were hard to get with picture sleeve when they were issued back in the day. The group has been best described as a garage rock version of the Zombies with a Southern accent of lead singer Jerry Waugh. On a scale from 1 to 10, with the Dovers being a 10, it is fair to say that at least four songs are on par with the Dovers and the rest not too far off mark. Unheard of for nearly 50 years, an entire LP has been released for the first time on vinyl - the way it was originally intended. Included in the album, is their great folk-rock garage monster 45er 'Ride Child'. This LP includes 11 songs, rare photos of the group and an insert with detailed liner notes. Tracks - Side One: 1. It's A New Thing To Me 2. For My Own 3. I Told Her Goodbye 4. Certain Kind Of Girl 5. Stripes Side Two: 1. Ride Child 2. Apple Candy 3. Bit O' Honey 4. East Side Tenement House 5. She's A Gas 6.
