She Moans/bolweevil

Reissue of a first class proto-punk 45, originally released on Alaska Records in 1974. 'She Moans' and 'Bolweevil' were recorded in 1973 at Pye Studios, London and released as a 45 rpm vinyl single in 1974. The record has since gained notoriety as one of the first proto-punk singles to be released in the UK. Alan Lee Shaw (guitar/vocals) and Rod Latter (percussion, bass, piano) went on to play in the bands The Rings and The Maniacs at the height of the 1976/'77 UK punk rock phenomenon. 'She Moans' also appeared on the now rare 'Bonehead Crunchers Vol. 3' compilation. This reissue is limited to 300 copies.
