Second album by these psychedelic stoner rockers from Vienna, Austra. 'The Subtle And The Dense' was recorded in 2023 in the studio of the Haberlgasse music cooperative in Vienna. Compared to the self-released first album, where lead singer and rhythm guitarist Florian Miehe mostly did the vocals alone, on this album they experimented much more boldly with the use of background vocals and vocal harmonies. The guitar sound is dense and, as the album title suggests, partly subtle. The band effortlessly brings styles such as stoner rock and blues rock under one roof. This makes the overall sound something special and characterizes the seven varied songs on the album. Comes on oxblood red vinyl.
