Reissued together on one 7-inch are two great versions of the classic tune 'Sonido Amazonico', packed with psychedelic guitars and hard-hitting percussion. Ranil Y Su Conjunto Tropical was a '70s Peruvian psychedelic cumbia band from Iquitos in the Amazon region. Also from Peru, Los Wembler's De Iquitos was founded in 1964, and was made up of six members, Salomon Sanchez Saavedra and his five children. This group started the new musical genre called cumbia amaznica, a subgenre of Peruvian cumbia.
