In 1986, 'Tou't Jou Pa Min'm' from Max Rambhojan, a singer from Guadeloupe, became a killer tune. The song gained a cult status, and was the start of the 'Zouk Chiré' sound, a high tempo version of zouk, highly influenced by Guadeloupe's Carnival mass drum bands. Max self-released his first solo album on vinyl in 1985, which featured some of the best musicians from the zouk scene back then. Now four lost gems have been reissued on vinyl, carefully restored and remastered.
