Puhdys
Live At Rockpalast 1996
The Puhdys cherished performing at Berlin's iconic Waldbühne, a sentiment shared by their fans. After playing there three times in the early 1980s, they returned in 1996, 13 years later, for a historic post-Berlin Wall concert organized by WDR's "Rockpalast". Featuring eight East and West German bands, including Karat and Die Prinzen, the event had an electric atmosphere. Taking the stage as the penultimate act, the Puhdys thrilled fans with classics like "Wenn ein Mensch lebt" and "Alt wie ein Baum." Due to the venue's curfew, they couldn't play an encore. The 1996 recording now serves as their final album, marking a fitting close to their 50-year legacy.
