After relocating from Nigeria to Hamburg in 2003, hip hop/soul singer and songwriter Nneka signed with Yo Mama's Recording Company. Two years later, her debut album 'Victim Of Truth' followed. Garnering rave reviews from the international media, the British Sunday Times declared it "the year's most criminally overlooked album", describing her as the legitimate successor to the legendary Lauryn Hill.
