Back in the '50s rock'n'roll always meant a huge scandal, and this rule still worked for the early '80s in the former USSR. This first solo album of composer, vocalist and guitar player Yuri Loza (ex-Integral) was rightly called 'Journey To Rock'n'Roll'. It was the greatest musical scandal of 1983! This album with its DIY aesthetics -just vocals, two guitars and a simple rhythm composer device- represents a very Russian version of pub rock. 'A Girl In The Bar' was a big hit all over the USSR in 1983, but official Russian media called it 'an example of bad taste'.
