Brooklyn-born bassist Adam Lane returns with Absolute Horizon, a fantastic listen for fans of jazz-infused free improvisation. After a long hiatus, Lane teams up with saxophonist Darius Jones and longtime collaborator drummer Vijay Anderson for seven (CD includes three extra tracks) fully improvised tracks that showcase their near-telepathic interplay. With Lane's deep, resonant bass, Jones' soulful alto, and Anderson's dynamic drumming, the trio delivers intense crescendos and emotive solos.
