Knowledge Through Suffering handles its aural weapons with purpose and in such a way they completely assault our senses, aggressively pummelling savage and cavernous riffs and burying them under huge waves of doom and complete darkness. The lyrics deal with the esoteric notion of God's disappointment for his own act of creation: holy words through unholy sounds, a sacred language expressed through music that is thick and suffocating and yet at the same time atmospherically enveloping, making 'Concealment' capable of exhaling its fumes all the way up to the darkening skies. A black metal album in spirit inside the hulking flesh of a massively heavy and dissonant early death metal monster.
