For their 40th anniversary (in the original line-up!), German band the Hot Rod Gang has released 'Can You Dig It?,' an album that celebrates the spirit of the '50s and surprises with modern influences from later decades. The long player remains true to the band's unmistakable signature sound, but at the same time dares to take a step forward - a bold mix that sounds fresh and unique. The Hot Rod Gang shows once again that rockabilly and rock'n'roll have lost none of their energy. Quite the opposite: the title song winks charmingly at the purists of the genre and asks a question whose answer is hidden between the lines. At the same time, the artistic album cover reflects the essence of the band: a time-worn retro look in which the band poses confidently on a rust-embossed metal sign - ironic, tongue-in-cheek and full of character.
