Hjelm, Hans
Into The Night (marbled)
Guitarist Hans Hjelm explores the transition from day to night in this instrumental work. The Stockholm-based musician's sophomore solo album features cinematic landscapes of synth-wave and prog rock sounds. Hjelm, known for his work with psych rock outfits Kungens Män and Automatism, has crafted seven instrumental tracks that blend retro-sounding analog synths with driving beats. Recorded in the depths of Swedish November at Helter Skelter studio, the album features a stellar cast of collaborators, including Mikael Tuominen (Kungens Män), Jesper Skarin (Gösta Berlings Saga), Per Wiberg (Switchblade, ex Opeth), and guest guitarist Gustav Nygren (New Rose). 'Into The Night' invites listeners to the space where the familiar blurs into dreamlike uncertainty, echoing the nocturnal overtones that inspired its creation. Co-release with Majestic Mountain Records. Edition of 100 copies on solar flare marbled vinyl.
