Jutta Hipp was a cool jazz icon in post-war Germany who conquered the Frankfurt jazz festivals in the 1950s. Jazz impressario Leonard Feather brought her to the USA where she did sessions with Horace Silver, Zoot Sims and Mingus. This box provides a complete overview of her work, including Jutta's most relevant recordings and featuring a collection of paintings, drawings and cartoons as well as letters and poems. This LP-sized box set included six CD's, a DVD and a 208-page hardcover book with a biography in German and English, a recording index and discography plus hundreds of photos, paintings and sketches, record sleeves and labels.
