Gitkin is a multi-instrumentalist, Grammy nominated producer hailing from Brooklyn but living and working in New Orleans. Golden Ageis a ten song showcase of the latest evolution of his lyrical guitar-driven sound, exploring the endless expanses of cumbia, North African, and Middle Eastern music. He is the bandleader and front man of New Orleans soul music band The Pimps Of Joytime, who have been active since 2005 and are festival favorites playing the likes of Bonnaroo, Outside Lands, Forecastle, Lightning in a Bottle, Electric Forest and many more.
