Ginger Root, the project of Southern California's Cameron Lew, blends handmade yet polished synth-pop, alt-disco, boogie, and soul with a unique Asian-American perspective. Inspired by '70s and '80s Japanese City Pop and Western influences like Philly Soul and French Pop, Lew has built a dedicated fanbase since 2017 with immersive albums, films, and global tours. His third album, SHINBANGUMI, marks his Ghostly International debut in 2024, featuring a visual component. This LP captures Lew's most confident sound and personal growth, reflecting his vision for Ginger Root's signature style.
