El Rastro was an post-punk/darkwave band, formed in Caracas/Venezuela in 1988. The definitive formation of six musicians took off in a dizzying manner in the underground scene of Caracas in the late 1980s. El Rastro was part of the first indie bands to record LPs in their home country Venezuela, being an important part of the underground scene along with others such as Sentimiento Muerto, Zapato 3, Desorden Público and the legendary Seguridad Nacional.
