Cactus were a US super group originally featuring Vanilla Fudge's rhythm section (Tim Bogert on bass and Carmen Appice on drums), the Amboy Dukes' Rusty Day on vocals and Detroit Wheels-guitarist Jim McCarty. This double-CD includes the band's third album 'Restrictions' (1971), the last LP to feature Jim McCarty and Rusty Day, and 'Ot 'N' Sweaty', for which they were joined by Leaf Hound and Atomic Rooster vocalist Pete French, Werner Fritzschings (guitar) and Duane Hitchings (keyboards). With remastered audio, and one bonus track, this set features liner notes from Classic Rocks Malcolm Dome based on recent interviews with founder member Carmine Appice.
