Bag
Tripdream/nothing Will Remain
The Amsterdam based band Bag derived its name from "Bagism", an art form invented by Yoko Ono. The group was brought together by Don H.G. Peijters, the man behind Flame Records. His trump card was 'Tripdream', a song that, in the first few bars, was slight reminiscent of Pink Floyd's 'Astronomy Domine', but after that completely sounded as 'Tripdream'. The Leslie sound of lead guitarist Leo Schelvis and flanger of guitarist Richard Koh put a "heavy psychedelic" stamp on their sound. Shortly after the release of 'Tripdream' Flame Records went bankrupt, so Bag did not get the credit the band actually deserved. It was only years after the release that many saw 'Tripdream' as "the best Dutch psychedelic single ever". A - Tripdream (M. Krijnen) B - Nothing Will Remain (L.
