Aswad
Live At Rockpalast (cologne 1980)
When Aswad performed for Rockpalast, they were still an underground part of London's "Punky Reggae Party" scene, supporting the Rock Against Racism movement. The performance, recorded at WDR Studio B, captures the band in their raw early phase - just two albums in - before rising to become UK reggae icons. That same year, 'Babylon,' starring Aswad frontman Brinsley Forde, depicted the struggles of Jamaican immigrants in Britain. Digipack with original photos, liner notes, and remastered stereo sound. Features early work from the band behind hits like 'Give A Little Love' and 'Shine.'
