Under the name 39th & The Nortons, Nick Wheeldon (Os Noctambulos, The Jesus Loves Heroin Band) recorded 'On Trial', his first album in 2012 in his bedroom. If Os Noctambulos brings back the energy and the rawness of Nuggets garage, 39th & The Nortons delivers a refined folk-rock odyssey. As some of his contemporaries (Allah-Las, Olden Yolk), the band aims with 'Mourning Waltz' to capture in his very personal way the essence of the timeless and polished sound of the whole Byrds (Gene Clark, Gram Parsons). With hints of psychedelic rock and garage, this album is a vibrant take on the Cosmic American music as well as a new testimony of Nick Wheeldon's unique songwriting talent. LP limited to 300 copies.
