ANTONIUS REX - ZORA
Repress of the legendary occult prog album by Antonius Rex, with an unreleased song ('Monastery') and original "nude witch" cover! Probably the most charismatic figure of all the Italian prog scene, Antonio Bartoccetti (Antonius Rex) began his career going to Milan from the Marche, forming Jacula, Dietro Noi Deserto (even with a single on Decca in 1971!), and Invisible Force (another lonely single in 1971). Not real bands but just a group of musicians working beyond the leading figures of Bartoccetti and Doris Norton (aka Fiamma Dallo Spirito). In 1974 they changed the name to Antonius Rex and released an album called 'Neque Semper Arcum Tendit Rex.' Despite a contact to release it on Vertigo, the label considered it to be too outrageous, with the black and white cover reproducing a 17th century "diabolic" letter and strong lyrics, especially in the devil letter track. The album was planned for release on drummer Albert Goodman's Darkness label, but it never went over a promo issue. So the first real commercially released Antonius Rex album is 'Zora' from 1977, on the small Tickle label and, again, with an outrageous cover that was replaced with a different one a year later. 'Zora' includes a reworking of Jacula's 'Tardo Pede In Magiam Versus' track; their main elements are as usual church organ, dark atmospheres, lyrics dealing with occultism.

Sophya Baccini was born as a singer, vocalist, pianist, author of texts in Italian, Neapolitan, French and English. She started her career in 1990, when together with Enrico Iglio (keyboards - percussion) and Sergio Casamassima (guitar) founded the Presence, dark progressive group of well-loved and appreciated both in Italy and abroad for the quality of recordings and compositions. On 8 March 2012, Patrik Stiggson dedicated a monograph on the second channel Swedish national radio, and in December, training with Chicco Accetta on acoustic guitar, Stella Manfredi on violin and herself at the piano and voice, participating in the exhibition "Museums in Music" of the Roman Forum of Rome, recorded by TG1. As a result of these experiences, decided to add to his guitarist an all-female band , and founded the Sophya Baccini 's Aradia : Sophya to piano, vocals and synth bass, Chicco Accetta on guitar, Stella Manfredi on violin, Francesca Colaps on drums and Marilena Striano on keyboards. With this band he recorded the album "The Big Red Dragon (The William Blake's Visions)" dedicated to the paintings of the great English genius. Formidable gallery of guests who have agreed to collaborate on the project: Christian Decamps (Ange), Aurelio Fierro jr., Elisa Montaldo (Il Tempio delle Clessidre), Steve Sylvester (Death SS, Sancta Sanctorum), Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinth, Ken Hensley Live Fire), Enrico Iglio (Presence), Sonja Kristina (Curved Air), Irvin and Lino Vairetti (Osanna).

A fabulous mini LP from London based, Japanese psych band Barbican Estate. Four beguiling tracks of atmospheric, occasionally acid folk flavoured, melodic freakout shifts, taking in tips of the hat to Popol Vuh (check Miri's beautiful vox on 'Angel'), Amon Düül and fellow countrymen Acid Mothers Temple and Kikagaku Moyo amongst others. Formed in 2019, this three-piece consists of Kazuki Toneri (guitar, sitar), Miri (bass, flute, vocals), and Koh Hamada (drums, percussion). Each member is well-versed in music, film, and various other arts, drawing inspiration not only from experimental, psychedelic rock, and noise music but also from art across the world, both past and present. Their music weaves solid, architectural elements with destruction into a dark and gloomy soundscape, is often described as "dark psychedelic." They released their first album, 'Way Down East,' in 2021. In 2022, they relocated to London, where they performed on UK tours and at festivals. Having already played nearly 50 live shows, they are gaining attention in the local scene. Their EP 'Viscum' was released in June 2024. 'Barbican City Of Tokyo' is a compilation of tunes previously consigned to digital release only that label head Dom had free rein to assemble an EP from, which luckily the band wholeheartedly agreed upon! ...and all four tracks appear on vinyl here for the first time. This release hopefully cements a growing interest in the band's fabulous music, and early reviews of both the LP here and their live shows are overwhelmingly positive. Limited to 100 copies, so be fast!

One of the Holy Grails of heavy psychedelia, originally released in 1969 by this Canadian band. Basement garage-psych meets heavy rock! Echoing vocals, crashing drums, ultra-raw distorted guitar... Bent Wind formed in Toronto in 1969. Discovered by producer Merv Buchanan while they played at a 12-hour Pop Festival in York, he signed them to his Trend label. A single was soon released, followed by the 'Sussex' album in 1969. Titled after the street where the band had a rehearsal space in a building where local hippies and freaks hang out, 'Sussex' was released housed in a cover designed by guitar player Gerry Ribas. According to band member Marty Roth, no more than 200 copies were pressed, making one the most sought after psych albums ever. Original artwork in hard cardboard sleeve. Remastered sound. Their first album 'Crystallization' from 1971 is an outstanding and rare masterpiece for all psych collectors and for sure one of the best Euro-Underground rock albums of the '70s. In 1971 the band briefly disbanded. They got together again in 1973 with a few line-up changes, but kept the same musical intention: heavy psychedelic, progressive and guitar driven hard rock, with catchy song writing, a few US-Westcoast flashes but also extended instrumental jam excursions. In 1972, Barry Dransfield recorded his debut solo album. Just called "Barry Dransfield", the album is a real delight from start to finish. It features an array of traditional songs arranged by Barry, some original ones and some fantastic covers from people like Michael Hurley ("The werewolf") and David Ackles ("Be my friend"). Sadly, the album was deleted just after nine months from his initial release, because it was released on Folk Mill, a Polydor sublabel created to enter the folk field, but the Polydor guys realized soon that this was not their business, and deleted their whole catalog immediately (including also the C.O.B. Moyshe McStiff album). Needless to say, the album has become a true rarity and a collectors item since then. Record Hunter voted him "the rarest folk album" and Tapestry Of Delights book described it as "along with Vashti Bunyans "Just a diamond day", this debut solo album, full of enchanting folk, is one of the two most sought after major label folk albums". This wonderful album was reissued some years ago in a limited vinyl run of 500 that disappeared at the first day without even entering UK & USA stores, as it was sold entirely to Japan. Now were very happy to announce our new, deluxe reissue on thick, HQ vinyl and hard carton cover, plus an insert with linernotes. A stunning release to add to our no-filler growing catalog. FUGS - DANCING IN THE UNIVERSE
First album by the cult band since 2010. The Fugs was formed in 1964 by Ed Sanders with Tuli Kupferberg and Kenn Weaver. Until they disbanded the group captured the time spirit and they were alongside Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention the representatives of a quite new mix of political protest,
Dadaistic free form performances, poetry - but first rock & roll. The Fugs produced 6 great albums including the masterpieces 'Tenderness Junction' (1968) and 'It Crawled Into My Hand, Honest' (1969), before they disbanded in 1969. Ed Sanders pursued a very successful career as a writer and poet.
His book about the Manson Family was a huge bestseller. In 1984 Sanders brought The Fugs together again and has recorded several albums since then, including the brilliant 'No More Slavery' from 1986. Two tunes on the LP version were recorded by Scott Petito at Tuli Kupferberg's loft in NYC in 2005. The Fugs have added instruments and harmony singing to Tuli's originals. Limited to 500 copies.

After almost two years of work, Infinite Fog is glad to invite you to a new journey through the fog of time and enjoy the reissue of this great ambient/folk record from 1984. A well-known to collectors, but extremely rare record by Jon Iverson, a multi-instrumentalist from Palo Alto and his college friend, mandolinist Tom Walters. They shared a love for singer/songwriter fare and gigged around campus playing covers of Neil Young, CSN, and Loggins/Messina in the late '70s.
'First Collection' was recorded during the spring of 1984 in a small garage that had been converted to a one-room apartment in the seaside community of Los Osos, California. With an instrumentation of 12-string guitar, piano, mandolin, analog synthesizers, and sampler, the duo has recorded nine bright,
weightless, and diverse compositions where electronic experiments mix with ethnic rhythms, sweeping through inspired folk reminiscent of the works of Master Wilburn Burchette, William Ackerman, John Fahey and Robbie Basho, to homemade pastoral space folk exuding sophisticated, pale, lunar sonic moods that somehow might remind of the work of Roedelius from the early '80s. Equipment used for tracking included a rented 1/2" 8-track Otari MX5050 analog tape machine and assorted mics. With only a few thousand albums pressed, 'First Collection' has become a collectable in some circles. Now, almost forty years later, 'First Collection' has been remixed and remastered from the original 1/2" tapes for this release.

JACQUELINE, CRYSTAL - LIVE
Last June, Crystal Jacqueline and her band performed at the Sonic Rock Solstice Festival and somebody very naughtily bootlegged it. The day after the gig, Icarus Peel, Jacqueline's guitarist and musical director, was perusing one on the many merchandise stalls when he noticed a homemade CD of the previous evening's performance. "How much for the CD?", he asked. "Ten quid", came the reply. "How much if you're in the band?", Peel enquired. Unsurprisingly, a considerable discount was offered, and the deal was done. Playing the disc on the long drive home, Jacqueline and Peel were impressed by what they heard and thought that with a bit of tidying up they'd have a rather splendid live album and persuaded Mega Dodo to bootleg the bootleggers. The vinyl edition will be available as an 'official bootleg' pressed on 180 gram white and black splatter vinyl in an edition of 250 copies.

'K3' continues the trajectory of outer space excursions found on previous Kandodo releases. Recorded over the past three years and aided by fellow Heads types H.O. Morgan and Wayne Maskell, this album was recorded in Bristol and on Price's 4 track. Out of focus, relaxed and expansive vibes fuse together into serpentine rivers of minimalist rhythms and echoed tones, drawing the listener into tunnels of sound and scorched sonic landscapes. It's one for the headphones at 30,000 feet or late night deserted drives. 'K3' finds three heads taking time out to dive into the dronal repetitions of deep space, 3 psychonauts killing time in the only way they know how; head-nodding drumfuzz layered with creamed strings. Reissue of Leong Lau's debut 1976 album 'Dragon Man.' A raw and electrifying album that continues to stand the test of time.
'Dragon Man' might best be described musically as psych/rock, however the significant use of soul/funk and jazz melodies adds a unique musical depth that makes it hard to categorise. However, what truly sets Leong apart is his distinct vocal style, delivering half sung/half spoken lyrics in a stereotypical Aussie accent that comes across more like a sermon than what might be conceived as `traditional' songs.
Moreover, in a time where the Australian music industry and its performers' musical styles were dictated by major labels, Leong began to break down those barriers by self-releasing his music. This rewarded Leong creative control, where he was able to dictate the musical and cultural themes, with songs like 'Dragon Man' and 'Deep In The Jungle' that both pay homage to his unique Chinese/Malay heritage. That said, 'Dragon Man' is both a significant musical and cultural statement that's just as poignant today as it was then. Includes fold out colour poster (40cm x 20cm), replicating the insert included in the original '76 release.

In 1969 Bracknell based blues rock outfit Levee Camp Moan released what was destined to become one of the most sought after UK private pressings of the period. Issued on the County Recording Services label (SVVS 132), a small run of discs was pressed up and sold locally at gigs as well as being handed out to friends. Housed in an obligatory custom built sleeve that had a snapshot of the group pasted onto the front, this LP marked out their status as one of the most exciting bands to emerge out of the thriving local underground scene in the Bracknell Delta. The group had taken their name from the old blues number and the band members, manager and assorted roadies took up residence in a local farmhouse known as Peacock Farm. It was there that LCM would rehearse into the small hours thumping out a mixture of blues standards as well as their own compositions until they had become a tight unit ready to 'take on the world'. Influences ranged from the urban blues of Otis Rush, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells to Muddy Waters, Skip James and beyond. The more or less contemporary white blues of the time, Canned Heat, Savoy Brown and Paul Butterfield also served as a major source of inspiration. From their humble roots LCM quickly built up a following on the British Blues circuit, frequenting the likes of the Marquee, Crawdaddy, Klooks Kleek, Eel Pie Island and Rikki Tik club. On the college circuit they toured extensively with Chickenshack, Canned Heat and Muddy Waters with performances being of a high enough standard to generate record company interest. Unable to secure a record deal, they had no other choice but to do it themselves. And so it was in the winter months of early '69 that LCM entered Virgin Sound in nearby Windsor to lay down eight tracks recorded on a four track machine. At the time of its creation the term private pressing would have had little or no relevance in musical circles and the significant thing to remember is that in such cases there is no record company interference and what the band was able to produce under these conditions was the archetypal private pressing, raw, under produced and thrillingly primitive. The project successfully captured the spirit and aggression of an exciting new band and the original artefact is now a zeitgeist of that remarkable era. After Levee Camp Moan, Ian Campbell went on to carve out a busy musical career performing with, amongst many others, the Nashville Teens, Arthur Brown's band and Mungo Jerry. Bassist Dave Stubbs played with a host of notables including gigs in Eric Clapton's band and lengthy tours with Uli Jon Roth (ex Scorpions). This is the first, legitimate vinyl reissue of this extraordinarily rare album. Includes insert with rare photos and full band history by Pete Sarfas.

MORCK, TRULS - WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE
Truls Mörck has a background as a guitarist in Graveyard and Slowgold as well as guitarist, singer and songwriter in Den Stora Vilan. In 2015 he released his first solo album and shortly thereafter he returned to Graveyard, this time as bass player. After a few years of waiting, it's finally time for his second solo LP 'What A Time To Be Alive'. The sound is inspired by the soft rock of the '70s and you can hear echoes of Harry Nilsson and George Harrison mixed with dreamy digital keyboards and a modern, relaxed, psychedelic production. "We have tried to create a soft and easy-to-listen-to sound that somehow still feels interesting and well-made. My lyrics are probably quite self-absorbed and introspective. The naive and honest I can read between the lines in rock history's simpler poetry, inspires me", Truls says.

'The Dark Side Of The Moon' tour began on January 20th 1972 at the UK's Brighton Dome, and concluded almost two years later at London's Rainbow Theatre, on November 4th '73. Covering the UK, US, Europe and Japan, there were two separate legs promoting the album, one in 1972 before the record's release and another in 1973 afterwards, together covering 128 shows. Pink Floyd first took the tour to the USA on April 4th 1972, and stayed there for a month. They went back for another jaunt in September '72, when they also performed 2 shows in Canada. By March 1973, the band were back in the States, and on 15th of the month, played at Philadelphia's Spectrum, where they put on one of the entire tour's best concerts. The 'Dark Side' set from this show - plus a couple of encores from the Floyd back catalogue - were recorded for live broadcast by WNEW FM Philadelphia and transmitted across the local area. This 2LP set now features this entire broadcast on vinyl for the first time, allowing fans to hear this remarkable gig, in many cases, for the first time. Comes on clear vinyl.

Pip Proud, sui generis, could be considered an Australian
outsider, with his untutored and uninhibited singing style, his
primal guitar playing, his resolutely personal vision captured on recordings from 1967 to the early '70s - except that, unlike most outsiders, he was loved and accepted, with two of his three album releases on a major label, with frequent television appearances and coverage in music magazines. Heralded in his native land though he was, he maintained a low profile from the early '70s, never made an impact overseas, and his recordings have been difficult to access. This collection has been selected by Proud's biographer David Nichols and will engender a new appreciation of Proud's music. Considered by some as a sort of Antipodean Syd Barrett, listeners will hear that Pip was clearing his own private and primal path, more poet than pop star, despite the media attention. Other than one Velvets-style band track, all songs here feature Pip solo, some
with appealingly primitive overdubs. Fans of ramshackle oddball
weirdo portastudio lofi bedroom pop of the '80s, '90s and beyond, whether of the NZ, UK or US varieties, will find a precursor here. 'A Fraying Space' also features liner notes by David Nichols as well as Proud's lyrics.

Ebalunga!!! is thrilled to announce the first official reissue of the self-released, self-produced, and self-titled 1985 LP by Scott Seskind. The album is a lo-fi singer-songwriter jewel. Don't miss it. "Authentic and personal, at times it reminds this writer of luminaries such as Jackson C. Frank, PF Sloan, Skip Spence, and Phil Ochs while never feeling derivative.
The songs are melodic and haunting, fueled by existential woes, political angst, and good ol' fashioned love. Scott's rich voice has an unpretentious gravitas, his simple-yet-effective guitar playing ranging from delicate fingerpicking to angry bashing. Created at home on a Tascam 4-Track Portastudio, the recording features few frills and is all the better for it. Unlike most mid-'80s records it sounds like it could have come from any time since the late '60s onwards. As a testament to its greatness, and despite the late recording date, it even gets a nod on Patrick Lundborg's 'Acid Archives' compilation website, Lysergia where it's described thus: "Late phase downer-loner folk and singer-songwriter trip, mostly acoustic, some tracks with a small band."

Deep in the Berkshire suburbia lives a man named Mordecai Smyth. He was the first artist to sign to the independent record label Mega Dodo back in 2011. That year saw the release of the pop-psych album, 'Sticky Tape And Rust' and the single 'Georgina Jones.' In 2017, Mordecai released a more progressive sounding album, 'The Mayor Of Toytown Is Dead' to critical acclaim: it was voted "album of the year" in the American Goldmine magazine's "Spin Cycle" section by Dave Thompson. 2022 sees the release of his third album, 'Things Are Getting Stranger On The Shore.' This album builds on the previous one, giving a progressive, and art rock feel, whilst skirting around alternative rock/pop genres. Before becoming a cult singer/songwriter in the '90s, Scottish musician Jackie Leven debuted in the early '70s with 'Control,' issued under the John St. Field pseudonym due to "problems with the forces of law and order." Recorded in London and helped by musicians from Man and other friends (Phil Ryan, Juliet Lawson, Jesse Ballard, Joe Kucera...), the album featured a collection of wonderful songs written by Jackie after his experiences wandering away and taking copious amounts of LSD. Unlike previous reissues, this one features the complete tracklist in original running order and also a new insert with previously unseen photos/memorabilia and recollections from some of the musicians involved.

Though presented as a band, Zweistein basically was the project of Suzanne Doucet, a successful German pop singer and TV personality then, and now a famous voice in New Age music. She recorded her avant-garde master piece with her sister Diane and sound engineer Peter Kramper, who's also been involved in recordings of The Rattles, Blizzards, Hawkwind, Amon Düül and Utopia. Significantly different to its sister release, this album collects the brilliantly chaotic and outrageously rhythmic material from the original sessions for the album that was begun as early as 1993 and had originally been conceptualised as the follow-up to 'Love's Secret Domain'. These songs are as diverse and wild as the places they originated from, partly infamously spawned in Sharon Tate's former home in the Hollywood Hills, the Nine Inch Nails home base in New Orleans and London's Swanyard, remixed and restructured with the help of long-term friend Danny Hyde in Thailand, this collection has its own unique flow and an atmosphere not found on any other Coil release. Both 'AYOR' and 'Backwards' had, by the time the album was first released, already become favorites in Coil's manic live performances. Some of the other tracks had only leaked in demo versions and are here presented updated and polished as Christopherson and Hyde intended them to be heard. It is interesting to consider Balance's vocal contributions, too. Whilst on the albums Coil did release at the time this material was first put aside ('Black Light District' and 'ElpH') his voice is all but absent, his vocal performances and his lyric writing here are arguably more closely indebted to the previous 'Love's Secret Domain' era, especially the epic 'Copacaballa' is noteworthy in that respect. 'The New Backwards' effectively became the final official Coil studio release of all new material whilst Peter was still alive and is here presented for the first time fully supervised by Danny Hyde, its co-creator. The stunning cover uses a detail from artist Ian Johnstone's 'Cubic Raven' painting, licensed from the estate of IJ. It is high time to rediscover this timeless album with the Infinite Fog release boasting eight further tracks of previously unheard material from the same sessions, rough working stages and surprising remixes which will surely delight the dedicated Coil archaeologists, as they shine yet another light on the creative process and on what could have been.

Jacinthebox is right in your face DIY as you no longer hear it today. Recorded in 1984-1986 and at the time self-released on cassette by Jac van Bussel (later known as DMDN and member of groups like Thu20, Lewd and Bunkur). Armed with a tape deck, a simple pulsating rhythm box, whining out of tune feedback guitars and distorted voice, he serves a large portion of roughly recorded guitar noise, including malfunctioning cables and stacks of noise. Unpolished, primitive, hard and foul.
Jacinthebox recently came into the spotlight with a reissue of a track on the '80s Underground Cassette Culture' compilation LP, released by Contort Yourself. The 'Incomplete 84/86' LP is a selection of 10 of his most extreme tracks, released in a hand-numbered edition of only 150 copies by Supreme Tool Supplies. A must for those who love Brainbombs, Harry Pussy and early Sutcliffe Jugend!

'Klavierwellen' ('Piano Waves') was recorded on November 4th, 2010 in the lagoons of Venice with a grand piano in a upside down position being transported on a small boat. Two contact and two omnidirectional microphones were positioned on the soundboard of the grand piano to record the resonances of the strings, waves, motor, boats... the sounds of the environment of the lagoons filtered by the piano's acoustic properties. Marcellvs L. was born in 1980 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil and currently lives in Berlin. Working in both video and sound, he exhibited internationally since the mid 2000s. Edition of 500 copies on 180 gram white vinyl, in deluxe thick sleeve.

Both records feature contributions from David Tibet, Colin Potter, Rose McDowall, John Balance of Coil, Alan Trench of Orchis and Joolie Wood amongst others. The title and the partial overlap of the personnel on both albums isn't quite where the similarities end, both albums have since become undisputed milestones in their respective artists' oeuvre. At the core of the definitive 2023 Infinite Fog re-release fully overseen by Steven Stapleton are the two original tracks 'Cold' - a classic unsettling rhythmic Nurse collage-fest, significantly closer to jittery psychedelia than the oft-cited "industrial feel" and the epic 'Colder Still,' easily one of the most mind-bending breathtaking NWW compositions up to this point and well beyond. The track soothes ghostly atmosphere and reveals new surprises with every listen, not least of which is a direct link to its sister release from C93 as well as the first appearance of the signature rhythm loop that would mutate and re-emerge on several later tracks. The album also is the first full-length collaboration with genius sound wizard Colin Potter who has since become a ubiquitous sidekick both on Nurse albums as well as in live performances. As a follow-up to what is widely acknowledged as one of the best-loved exercises in drone of the 20th century 'Soliloquy For Lilith,' 'TPM' is a much more varied but at least equally rewarding experience. Infinite Fog are beyond pleased to be able to offer a significantly enhanced, remastered and extended 3LP version for old and new fans alike.

NWW do loves PIC vinyl, but please take note - that picture "vinyl" is no audiophile format, it's a collectible format. Especially for music like NWW with its wide stereo spread, swirling high frequencies, and deep droning basses. The more stereo and bass, the wider and deeper the grooves have to be, to provide all information to the needle. But picture discs have only a very thin plastic foil over the pictures, it's no vinyl, just plastic, similar to pet bottles. On picture "vinyl" such deep and wide grooves can not be pressed, that it would sound as well as a real vinyl. That's the same for ALL picture LPs, not only NWW. General conclusion: Of course, the picture LP editions are enjoyable to listen to! But to get the best sound quality, you should choose the 2CD version, those sound best. For your collection just buy whatever you think looks best.

Joins the french foreign legion 1959 but was dismissed a year later for psychiatric reasons. 1961 ?rst poems and beginning of a bohemian life. 1961-64 vagabondage through europe and asia. Published several books of poetry and prose since 1961. First drawings published 1972 by Günther Brus in his periodical 'Schastrommel'. Exhibitions of graphic works since 1975 in galleries throughout Europe. Ad hoc musician. First LP of songs 'Wiener Lieder und Gemischte Waisen' published 1979 in Dieter Roth's Verlag. In 2004 he received the honorary literature prize of the Republic of Austria and in 2008 the ?ne arts prize of the City of Vienna. He lives and works in Vienna, Austria.
This LP is a collection of 29 pieces recorded 1980-84. Outsider art home-recordings using voice, acoustic guitar, accordion and bontempi organ.
Edition of 370 copies. 320g picture sleeve and 280g printed inner-sleeve with linernotes and artist biography in english and german.

THRESHOLD HOUSEBOYS CHOIR - AMULET (3LP)
The music released as 'Amulet' (or 'The Amulet Edition') is Peter "Sleazy" Christopherson's semi-secret testament. Originally available in exceedingly limited quantities at live shows and via direct mail-order in 2008 as a hand-assembled 4 mini-CDR set housed in a circular Thai Amulet case and never properly distributed, the material finally receives the wider re-release on vinyl and CD it so richly deserves. Only the second and sadly already the final release in his post-Coil solo guise as The Threshold Houseboys Choir, 'Amulet' sees Christopherson in a more playful mood than ever, don't be fooled by reviews calling this suite of songs "incomplete" or "working stage," these are rough little diamonds, often imbued with a bittersweet melancholy joy, unsurprisingly reminiscent of some of the final Coil offerings, but additionally steeped in exotica, inspired by his new East Asian home and the ghostly voices of his digitally generated choir ("a vocalist that wouldn't crash," as he would say). At times these tracks sound like a warmer, less analytically complex counterpart to the work he created simultaneously with CoH's Ivan Pavlov in the celebrated Soisong project. Bonus tracks feature rare earlier THBC compilation tracks and a few previously unreleased exclusive sketches. Let's be perfectly clear though, 'Amulet' is not some half-finished cutting-room floor left-overs, it's a genuine but very little heard fully fledged album released by Christopherson with some of the tracks performed live on his last ever tour, the unforgettable intimate Evenings with Uncle Sleaz. Includes a poster of Peter Christopherson in his infamous Cruella Deville coat. The album has been respectfully and expertly remastered by grammy-nominated Jessica Thompson. Artwork by Oleg Galay overseen and with additional guidance from "our man in Thailand" Peter Jenx.
