ANKH - LES MAITRES DU TEMPS/ILLES
ANKH is a French group of Normandy (Les Andelys in Eure), created in autumn 1974 by Fabrice Baty (guitar), Renaud Thorez (bass) and Michel Chevalier (drums). ANKH is mainly produced in the department of Eure (Les Andelys, Louviers, Vernon, Evreux), in schools, outdoor festivals and municipal festivals where they organized their own gigs and it is the ticket latter the 45s released in late 76 was distributed. The band broke up in the fall of 1977. Fabrice Baty had already released an LP in 1974, "Guitars" extremely rare today, consisting of experimental pieces / Prog. The bassist Renaud Thorez then played with DAMON EDGE & CHROME from 1984 to 1986 on 3 LP's.
Two styles on this disc 45t, progressive heavy with "Masters of Time" and instrumental surf prog for "Islands". Official reissue of this very rare single, 250 copies

Taking influence from studio-scene psych, west coast jangle and baroque harmony pop, London's Green Seagull are back with another 7" single. Having released four singles and two albums, mainly on the now defunct Mega Dodo label, their first release since 2020's blissed-out 'Cloud Cover' LP sees the band adopt a harder, more urgent edge, aided and abetted by new guitarist Dan Davies (formerly of Wolf People). Kicking off with a echo-laden organ motif, 'Lightning Girl' soon dissolves into a haunted garage rocker adorned with the celestial harmonies that have become the band's trademark. Flip side 'Barbara' steers into late '60s swamp-rock territory, with a southern-fried groove and vocal lines that bring to mind the likes of Jackie Lomax and The Kinks.

INCA MUSIC PROJECT - PROSIECT CERDDOROL INCA MUSIC PROJECT
From the Welsh seaside town of Aberystwyth comes the fuzzed out library orchestra, Prosiect Cerddorol INCA (INCA Music Project). Fuelled by discarded psych records found in charity shops as well as continuing the legacy as Welsh language musical un-conventionalists, such as Dyniadon Ynfyd Hirfelyn Tesog and AD73, INCA were unlike anything else that came out of mid Wales. With influences as perverse as Joe Byrd & The Field Hippies, Elephant's Memory and Fifty Foot Hose, a danceable maelstrom was created by using modified and discombobulated orchestral instruments and home made electronic gadgets.
These tracks, recorded in 2008, should have been released on the Sbrigyn Ymborth label, but unfortunately this was not to be and the tapes were stored away until the audio archaeologists at Salvation re-discovered them.

This extremely rare 45rpm was released in 1973 for the soundtrack of the movie 'Scoop'. It consists of three instrumental tracks, 'Scoop', 'Spin' and 'Prif 73', taking up about 6 minutes per side. Influences are Pink Floyd, Deep Purple (period Mark 1), not to mention psyche and Krautrock, 'Prif '73' being the best example with lots of acid heavy guitar and delirious organ. The song name is certainly linked with the inauguration of the Paris ring road opened in 1973.
The film tells the story of a journalist (see the movie name) investigating a mad scientist who has found a way to read in the brain.... Lasting about 50 minutes, it was projected only 2 times in a film club area called DIAF 16. For music, the film was shown in a cellar of the Champ de Mars where the band improvised before the images. No further information was sent to me by the film's director, who does not remember at all who plays on these securities and does not want to be related to this project. The group name, Sidharta with one D, followed in brackets 'Solenoid' on the cover, in fact the name of the first film, 'Scoop' is the following. Recorded in mono, the original vinyl is very damaged and have not found another copy for a loan, restoration work was needed before the repressing of 500 copies..

The Solo Artists is the brainchild of the mysterious globe-trotting Lars Gabel, an artist who has set the local scenes of Hamburg and Liverpool alight and is about to do the same in Auckland, New Zealand. Lars cut his teeth as a singer and songwriter in the Hamburg-based garage punk band The Sextons, before jumping ship to Liverpool where he met Liverpool legend Ged Lynn, formerly of Liverpool garage band The Stairs. This fortuitous meeting resulted in probably the finest unsigned band that Liverpool ever produced, The Living Brain, a quite astonishing psych band that recorded an unreleased album that is still spoken of in hushed tones. Not being one for spending too much time in one place, Lars then decided to return to Hamburg where he recorded 'Broken Seagull In A Box' with German producer Renee Laack.

The two teenagers, with no formal musical training, sat down for a year to explore a shared sense of vulnerability, and newfound freedom in expressing an emotional openness rarely seen in young American men at the time. What resulted was an 8-track LP, recorded over two days in two separate studios. Aside from one single release, 'I'm Coming Home' would wait for a full half-century to be released. First album by the cult band since 2010. The Fugs was formed in 1964 by Ed Sanders with Tuli Kupferberg and Kenn Weaver. Until they disbanded the group captured the time spirit and they were alongside Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention the representatives of a quite new mix of political protest,
Dadaistic free form performances, poetry - but first rock & roll. The Fugs produced 6 great albums including the masterpieces 'Tenderness Junction' (1968) and 'It Crawled Into My Hand, Honest' (1969), before they disbanded in 1969. Ed Sanders pursued a very successful career as a writer and poet.
His book about the Manson Family was a huge bestseller. In 1984 Sanders brought The Fugs together again and has recorded several albums since then, including the brilliant 'No More Slavery' from 1986. Two tunes on the LP version were recorded by Scott Petito at Tuli Kupferberg's loft in NYC in 2005. The Fugs have added instruments and harmony singing to Tuli's originals. Limited to 500 copies.

Reissue of Leong Lau's debut 1976 album 'Dragon Man.' A raw and electrifying album that continues to stand the test of time.
'Dragon Man' might best be described musically as psych/rock, however the significant use of soul/funk and jazz melodies adds a unique musical depth that makes it hard to categorise. However, what truly sets Leong apart is his distinct vocal style, delivering half sung/half spoken lyrics in a stereotypical Aussie accent that comes across more like a sermon than what might be conceived as `traditional' songs.
Moreover, in a time where the Australian music industry and its performers' musical styles were dictated by major labels, Leong began to break down those barriers by self-releasing his music. This rewarded Leong creative control, where he was able to dictate the musical and cultural themes, with songs like 'Dragon Man' and 'Deep In The Jungle' that both pay homage to his unique Chinese/Malay heritage. That said, 'Dragon Man' is both a significant musical and cultural statement that's just as poignant today as it was then. Includes fold out colour poster (40cm x 20cm), replicating the insert included in the original '76 release.

The nine songs are talking about the fears and the passion of love, depression, oppressive working life and a hangover generation. Influenced by Syd Barrett, the Velvet Underground, the Stooges and the Country Teasers, Leopardo mixes the sweetness of psych love songs with the rawness of a lo-fi punk sound and one or two chords primitive jams, expressing love, happiness, fear and melancholy.

PINK FLOYD - THE SOUND OF PHILADELPHIA (2LP)
'The Dark Side Of The Moon' tour began on January 20th 1972 at the UK's Brighton Dome, and concluded almost two years later at London's Rainbow Theatre, on November 4th '73. Covering the UK, US, Europe and Japan, there were two separate legs promoting the album, one in 1972 before the record's release and another in 1973 afterwards, together covering 128 shows. Pink Floyd first took the tour to the USA on April 4th 1972, and stayed there for a month. They went back for another jaunt in September '72, when they also performed 2 shows in Canada. By March 1973, the band were back in the States, and on 15th of the month, played at Philadelphia's Spectrum, where they put on one of the entire tour's best concerts. The 'Dark Side' set from this show - plus a couple of encores from the Floyd back catalogue - were recorded for live broadcast by WNEW FM Philadelphia and transmitted across the local area. This 2LP set now features this entire broadcast on vinyl for the first time, allowing fans to hear this remarkable gig, in many cases, for the first time. Comes on clear vinyl.

FUGS - DANCING IN THE UNIVERSE
First album by the cult band since 2010. The Fugs was formed in 1964 by Ed Sanders with Tuli Kupferberg and Kenn Weaver. Until they disbanded the group captured the time spirit and they were alongside Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention the representatives of a quite new mix of political protest,
Dadaistic free form performances, poetry - but first rock & roll. The Fugs produced 6 great albums including the masterpieces 'Tenderness Junction' (1968) and 'It Crawled Into My Hand, Honest' (1969), before they disbanded in 1969. Ed Sanders pursued a very successful career as a writer and poet.
His book about the Manson Family was a huge bestseller. In 1984 Sanders brought The Fugs together again and has recorded several albums since then, including the brilliant 'No More Slavery' from 1986. Four tunes on the CD version were recorded by Scott Petito at Tuli Kupferberg's loft in NYC in 2005. The Fugs have added instruments and harmony singing to Tuli's originals. Limited to 500 copies.

Part of the Great Crash's songwriting heart, Piers Geddes, died in 2023, shortly after contributing to the Great Crash's fascinating It's Psychedelic Baby interview. There should have been a documentary about this unique band, but it wasn't in the stars.

Rare private pressing from 1973 originally on the Deroy imprint, Motiffe play twisted King Crimson-esque progressive rock with dark jazz elements. Only 99 copies were pressed with just a handful having hand drawn covers. Record deals were offered but musical differences split the band, with the mighty Flux emerging in the aftermath before guitarist Grimaldi joined Argent to help craft their masterpiece 'Circus.'

The #11 single in the Detroit covers series. The A-side starts off with some feedback as a rumbling bass kicks in followed shortly by some onimous tribal drumming, before the band fully begins to tell the tales of their (sometimes) unforgiving hometown of Detroit. The B-side is a cover of the first track on the Cinecyde album 'I Left My Heart In Detroit City,' which originally came out in 1982. The Norcos members, Amado, Dougie, Roman and Annie are all veterans of the Detroit scene. You can spot a couple of them concurrently playing in Macho. Previous bands include Devious Ones, Bumpin' Uglies, Bill Bondsmen, Dewtons, etc.

The On And Ons were formed in 2015 by Glen Morris (Screaming Tribesmen), his brother Brian Morris, and Clyde Bramley (Minuteman, Hoodoo Gurus) in Sydney, Australia. Their key influence is '60s/'70s rock harmonies. These garage/power-popsters have a back catalogue of 5 well-received releases through Citadel Records, and one single on Get Hip.
Rogue Records is very proud to release their 2024 single. 'Looking Out Of A Mirror' is arguably the more "Sydney"-sounding of the two sides with its up-tempo beat and raucous guitars, while the flip side 'Hey, What's Going On?' is a mid-tempo, garage thrash with touch of jangle in the outro.

Long time ago I came to the BACHELOR office, slightly drunk after the lunch break, and I wanted to chill a little bit and play EMERALD MINE on my personal computer, Commodore 128D. I couldnt find the right 5 inch floppy disk and it made me angry so I called Mindy via intercom to look for it under my desk or something. Well, she came in, also a bit tipsy, and sat on my desk, right where this white foldable device with the apple on it was standing, an apple that has been used already cause you can easily see that someone has bitten of a piece. Anyways, this thing began to send audio signals of superior quality, true in sound but I couldnt get the lyrics. Mindy was also pleased, she said "Wow but weird-oh!". After very entertaining 2 hours I called the interns to find out what this is and I also gave them a recording contract and instructions on how to get this "artist". Now, only 2 years later I finally have the lyrics! Printed with black ink on with paper, on the inlay of the PIPSQUEAK debut vinyl 7"! Man, that was a crazy day. Print Run: 500 black vinyl.

THANES - FOR WHAT REWARD?

Pat is always good for putting a unique spin on a known song or digging up an obscurity to cover, but where is talent really lies is in crafting original songs. He churns out great tunes like leaves falling from the trees on a brisk Midwest October day. Pat has Midwest roots and it shows through in his writing. 'Down At The End Of Your Rope' will be
another instant favorite to all the Pat Todd and Lazy Cowgirls fans. Pat and his Rankoutsiders had an interesting choice on the Detroit cover. Rankoutsider guitarist, Kevin Keller, had been reasearching his family tree and genealogy chart when he
discovered he had a distant cousin who was a musician that lived in the Detroit area going back to the late '50s, one Jimmy Boyer. Jimmy Boyer & The Newports did the original version of 'Little Miss Heartbreak,' but Pat and the Rankoutsiders make it their own with a slight rockabilly flair to it.

LES BOWLERS - LES BOWLERS
The Bowlers were from Paris, formed in 1964 by a group of teenages. They got inspired by notably English groups played on French radio, especially the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. After performing in Paris, they eventually became a support act for with the Yardbirds, the Moody Blues, Ronnie Bird, Antoine and the Problems, among others. They recorded 2 EPs in 1966 for the Barclay label, mixed by an engineer who was not at all in phase with the group. A third EP, which would have a contribution by a brass section, was also planned, but it was never released. That EP, with tracks unreleased for more than five decades, appears on this compilation LP.

A record full of fresh trashy garage surf punk music with a truckload of reverb and echoes, and cryptic song titles. No mere nostalgia mongers, SALAMIRECORDER & THE HI-FI PHONOS sound old and new at the same time, the songs are sometimes harsh and loud but still contain enough melody to turn every live show into a wylde dance party!
I have got the feeling that there is a lot coming from this band in the next few years, but this here is their debut record, their first vinyl release, so don't snooze, buy this ASAP.

A raw 1982-'83 UK punk split between two Cheshire-based bands. TWO FINGERED APPROACH issued one limited edition 7-inch EP in 1982. It featured three fast, raw and angry melodic punk songs. The CORPSE's tracks, culled from the band's 1983 demo, appear on vinyl for the first time (apart from 'America Out' which appeared on Mortarhate's 'We Won't Be Your Fucking Poor' comp.) Yes, this is the legendary "green tape" of one of the first Austrian punk bands Dead Nittels. Triggered by their gig with the UK Subs on September 26, 1982 in Ampermoching/Dachau/Germany at the "Gasthaus zur Post", the Dead Nittels booked some studio time to lay down no less than 16 tracks in only three days, on a four track recorder - but the only used two of them - one track for the instruments and one for the vocals, they bought the cheapest tapes available - which happened to be ugly green, and dubbed 300 copies with the studio tracks plus seven live tracks from their UK Subs show. Good luck if you want to track down one of the tapes... For all others, here's the remastered greatness of this early Austrian punk album!

Decadent Few formed in E. London, 1984, from the ashes of anarcho punks Youth In Asia. Playing a more direct punk style than YIA, their lyrics concentrated on personal experience rather than the general anarcho themes of the day, with an emphasis on feminism and gender violence. Fronted by the unique, soulful and soaring vocals of Kaya Byatta (more Alison Moyet than Poly Styrene), musically DF occasionally veered into darker, postpunk/goth/tribal territory. Negative Insight blogspot wrote: "....but then, there is Kay's voice. She has quite possibly the most powerful and intense voice in UK punk history. Hers is deep, warm, raucous at times... but still always tuneful, it can convey the whole spectrum of human emotion and take simple, efficient punk songs to the next level. If you could blend the energy of X-Ray Spex, the catchiness of A-Heads, the moodiness of Siouxsie and spice it all up with the voice of the bear-eating bastard child of Poly Styrene and Patti Smith, then you would be pretty close to the Decadent Few experience." This LP combines the 7 tracks recorded in 1988 for an unreleased MLP on Real World Records, plus 4 tracks from 1994 that only appeared on a long-deleted US compilation CD. Die Böslinge were one of the first punkbands in Austria, founded by Erwin, Harry and Peter in 1979 and played at all punk places in Vienna back then, like Amerlinghaus, Gaga, Steinhof (Mental Ward), Arena, etc. Their only output was a self released 7" single, one of the rarest punk records from Austria, limited to only 200 copies, a solid 1.5K record - if it ever pops up anywhere... Die Böslinge disbanded right after this initial release in 1981, but before working on the songs that appeared on the single they recorded songs on a so called "demo." Bachelor Records got their hands on this cassette and sent it to Eric Brady to master the tracks - so here they are, the punk 'Demo 1980,' rough but straight to your face, direct, simple and aggressive songs (mostly) sung in Viennese dialect.

Rising like the phoenix from the ashes of the first version of the band; The Haskels served up heavy doses of three minute, adrenaline-fueled hard punk pop, as evidenced on the highly sought after, 'Killed By Death' bootlegged, 'Taking The City By Storm' EP released in 1981 on their own Milwaukee Hits label.
Now the full story of the band can be heard, seen, and told.
As the decade turned from the rust belt '70s to the
Reagan-era '80s, the original Haskels (see their self titled
LP on Splunge) split into two factions, with the local punk/new wave/post-punk scene moving to the gritty Starship club in downtown Milwaukee. The Haskels were instrumental in getting
bands to play the venue, including the Oil Tasters, Plasticland, Ama-Dots, Shivvers, Die Kreuzen and a burgeoning Violent Femmes. The version of the Haskels represented here initially included Presley Haskel and Gerard LaValliere, fresh
from the first line up of the band; joined by the crack rhythm section of Bobby Mitchell and Vodie Rhinehardt. Later tracks, including the EP were recorded by the Presley/Bobby/Vodie trio. In either case, the material is a match made in punk pop
heaven; coupling Presley's knife-sharp songwriting sensibilities with a tight unit of A-Team musicians driving the music forward. 'Taking The City By Storm' includes 14 tracks of rare and never before released material from the Splunge
Archives. The release is comprised of demos, live tracks and the entire, highly coveted 'Taking The City By Storm' EP, remastered for the first time. Co-released with our pals at Splunge Communications, we're sure you'll dig hearing these

This compilation represents a trawl through the Maggot Slayer Overdrive archives. The majority of the recordings have not previously been released in any form, although several of the tracks have found their way onto various compilations over the years. Maggot Slayer Overdrive were - or perhaps still are - a band on a mission; the only real snag being that no-one, not least the band members, knew exactly what that mission was. It may have been a quest to drink the squat bars of Europe dry, it might well have been to warn an unsuspecting public of the perils of rampant vinegar flies and vengeful giant cephalopods, or possibly merely to thrust a custard pie into the sometimes-austere face of the 1990s independent hardcore punk music scene. Regardless, during the 9 long years of their original incarnation, Maggot Slayer Overdrive (henceforth referred to as 'The Maggots,' or simply, M.S.O.) produced a scattered selection of official musical releases, these primarily being 1993's 'Soggy,' one half of a split LP with Bristol's Corpus Vile, released on MCR UK, and 1995's 'The Angry Buzzing of a Million Flies' EP, on the German Epistrophy label. There were also several compilation appearances, including covers of Crass and Subhumans songs on their respective 'tribute' albums (versions of 'General Bacardi' and 'Religious Wars' - both of which are available to listen to via online media platforms). However, by the time the musical activities of the band finally ground to a halt following a tour of the West Coast of America in 1998, several unused recording sessions had been completed which by and large were to remain overlooked and in due course forgotten about over the years. Which brings us to the present, when, to celebrate the fact that the somewhat-implausibly still-living last line-up of the band have agreed to reconvene to play a few gigs in 2023, it has been decided to give some of these recordings a dusting-off and belatedly bestow on them a vinyl and CD release. Thus, with a little assistance from your Friendly Neighbourhood Heretical Hunchback, plus a remastering job by legendary Riot City producer Steve Street, we present to you 'Fly-Blown & Maggot-Riddled: A Selection of Audible Chunks from the M.S.O. Archives'... The 10-track LP is limited to 300 copies and includes a 3-colour 4-page 12-inch insert, as wel as a full colour A2 'Killer Maggots' poster, designed by digital artist Marcus Jones (Screaming Demons Art).

David's mid-'80s to mid-'90s band The Junk Monkeys was the best straight forward rock and roll band of that time period that you might have missed. No metal overtones, no industrial edge, no rap hybrids. Just straight up rock and roll ala The Rolling Stones, The Replacements and Cheap Trick with that gritty working class Detroit city attitude added in. The band toured relentlessly but David decided to leave the music business on a high note not too long after touring for the 'Bliss' record. He left with the band's integrity intact before there was even a whiff of succumbing to the pressures of the commercial machine.
'MusicHound's Rock: The Essential Album Guide' called 1992's 'Bliss,' "One of the best guitar-pop releases in a decade rife with great ones." At the turn of the century David assisted a fellow Junk Monkey alum in the studio project SWIG, but other than that he has laid dormant (musically speaking) until he got the itch again in 2014. He rounded up a supergroup for his new band, David Bierman Overdrive. A bunch of seasoned veteran Detroit friends: Kevin Perri (Junk Monkeys, Dives, Brian McCarty Band, etc), Dave Feeny (Hysteric Narcotics, Orange Roughies, Blanche, American Mars, Loretta Lynn, etc), Stephen Palmer (Fletcher Pratt, Back in Spades, The High Strung, etc)
and Jim Faulkner (The Happy Accidents, Blueflowers, The Beggars, etc). He has maintained the same great lineup since the band's inception. David Bierman Overdrive is a band effort and not just a bunch of session guys. David brings the songs and the guys put their touches on them to round them out.

Dany Laj is a bit of a nomad. On his last full length record, 2021's 'Ten Easy Pieces,' he had the line "6 towns in 6 years, I kinda like this one". And yet, still he moves away shortly after that record comes out. While he does move place to place quite a bit, he always settles somewhere in his native Canada (Montreal currently). Sonically he has similar tendencies, not staying in a particular lane but still keeping on the wide road of his overall melodic power pop sound. He'll swerve into some classic rock, punk, R&B and folk but still stay on course. On his latest single from I-94 Recordings he incorporates some '60s girl group and doo wop sounds while still remaining true to the Dany Laj & The Looks backbone. When you hear it, 'You Should Know' it's Dany Laj. Catchiness is his forte. The melodies hook you in. Dany has found his partner in musical crime, with Jeanette Dowling plucking the bass and singing along sweetly with him. This time around the core (Dany & Jeanette) are augmented by additional Looks Anna Mernieks-Duffield on guitar and vocals and Mike Mernieks-Duffield on drums. The two couple dynamic is an interesting one. (Abba or Fleetwood Mac, anyone?). They meld together quite nicely. This is the #7 single in I-94 Recordings Detroit cover "B" side series. Dany decided to stretch the parameters a bit on the "Detroit" cover. He chose to do 'I'm So Glad,' originally released by Skip James (who is not from Detroit) in 1931. How we get the Detroit connection is The Scot Richard Case (later shortened to SRC) had a regional hit with it in their hometown of Detroit in 1967. The Looks version is more akin to this one.

TOURS - LANGUAGE SCHOOL/FOREIGN GIRLS
The Tours were an English new wave/power pop band from Poole, Dorset, founded in the late '70s during the punk era. The band consisted of Richard Mazda, Ronnie Mayor, Steve Jeff and Mark Spiers. They were unusual because there were two songwriters and two lead singers, Richard Mazda singing his own songs and Ronnie Mayor singing his. Virgin, Polydor/Fiction, EMI, Sire and other record labels were interested in signing them and the band ultimately signed to Virgin, but in 1980, there was a dispute between the group, the record label and the band themselves, before the ensemble split and members went their own way. According to various sources, John Peel played the band's self-released 'Language School' single for 50 consecutive nights (!!!) on Radio 1 in 1979, declaring it at the time his second favourite single of all time behind the Undertones 'Teenage Kicks.' Although 'Language School' was predominantly played by Peel, he also played their only other single, 'Tourist Information.' Despite the band being short lived, Peel did revisit them after the '70s, especially in the early '00s, when he played their 'Language School' song on his shows. 1980 should have been Tours' year. Boasting a killer live show and incredible strength in depth, they had a seemingly endless collection of two-minute pop classics. Yet the band were doomed never to make it to 1980, torn apart by a
conflict of egos and by a deep mistrust of industry dabbling with the band's line-up and sound. Only one single on Virgin was ever released - the mighty 'Tourist Information.' Having sold 13,000 copies of 'Language School' under their own
steam, it seemed obvious that a company like Virgin would do better. In the event, their efforts to promote 'Tourist Information" were pathetic. (Excerpt taken from Retroman65.blogspot.com). After a very long time of preparation it is finally here, the reissue of the classic and now very expensive single, as close as possible to the original, but with extensive liner notes and never before published photos in an four page booklet. Limited to 500 copies.

The one and only Cranford Nix with a soundboard recording of an acoustic performance from the Hamtramck Pub (Detroit area) in the summer of 1990. As Ricky Rat states from the audience on the recording, "let's hear it for Cranford fuckin' Nix, man, is he the next Bob Dylan meets Lenny Bruce or fuckin' what?" This recording went straight from the soundboard to Cranford's hands to a friend's (Brian T) hands and then sat in a shoebox for 30 years. Recently "unboxed" and pressed onto vinyl. These versions have not made the rounds or have been heard by the general populace. His personality really shines through on these tracks and his ever growing following will not be disappointed.

'Gentle Leader's 10 tracks are inspired by a unique range of guitar driven power pop and feedback laden post-punk from the '80s and '90s. Unlike the band's past releases which were almost entirely written, recorded and produced by Allie Hanlon, 'Gentle Leader' is a collaborative effort. Hanlon shared production duties with engineer Roland Cosio who also played guitar on some of the songs. Sophie Negrini is also featured on guitar, while Andrew Bassett of Portland's party-punk band The Mean Jeans provided the drumming. Gina Negrini, the band's bassist, contributed the song 'Quiet' to the album.
