Second album from the Japanese psych-prog band that started out as Far Out in 1973. The record is basically a concept: 'The Cave' is arriving onto our planet, and the group is generally celebrating the beauties of nature. Heavily influenced by Floyd ('Atom Heart Mother'-era), the group lays down some very credible ambiances that even Waters & Co. could've pulled off. This album will draw Klaus Schulze's attention and he will collaborate with FEFB on their next one.

GURU GURU - KANGURU
'Känguru' is the third album by Guru Guru, released in 1972 on the Brain label. It was produced by Conny Plank and featured the "classic" Guru Guru line-up of Ax Genrich (guitar), Uli Trepte (bass) and Mani Neumeier (drums, vocals). 'Känguru' is basically made up of the same ingredients as its two predecessors 'Ufo' and 'Hinten,' which were released on Rolf Kaiser"s Ohr label in 1970 and 1971. 'Känguru' is pure krautrock, the album contains "only" 4 tracks, all between 10 and 15 minutes long. But the band moves away from the disorganized chaos of the previous two albums and gives the songs more structure, reducing the amount of heaviness. At the same time, the humorous component increases, see for example Mani Neumeier's spoken word in the introduction of 'Immer Lustig.' In short, 'Känguru' is a krautrock gem.

It is the first chapter of a set of 2 concept albums in which the band deepens its exploration of ancient Babylon with an almost mythical approach through the eyes of the exiled captives from Jerusalem. Featuring contributions from 7 international collaborators, 'Zamaru Ultu Qereb Ziqquratu' is poised to become one of the most ambitious projects in the doom scene in terms of production and conception and it is released by the finest label in the genre: Heavy Psych Sounds. The album pushes sonic boundaries by featuring two drummers recorded simultaneously, creating the immersive effect of distant crowds. An eclectic mix of instruments, including the saz, viola, sitar, and bugle, blend with both analog and digital elements to enrich the soundscape. A nod to Turkish composer Fazil Say is also present, with a quotation from his symphony 'Mesopotamia.' For the first time, two vocal tracks appear alongside the instrumental pieces. Iranian singer Nina Saiedi lends her ethereal voice to 'The Diviner's Prayer To The Gods Of The Night,' sung in Akkadian, while Jerusalem's choir conductor Tomer Damsky delivers a captivating performance of 'Im Lelya' in Aramaic adding a deep vocal layer to the album. The final mix, crafted by renowned producer Tim De Gieter, known for his work with Amenra, Brutus, and Absent In Body, brings everything together with a masterful touch.

After the conclusion of their 15-part BBC radio season 'Pop Go The Beatles', the group was invited back for a series of two-hour bank holiday specials under the title 'From Us To You'. The first of these was recorded in the BBC Paris Studio on December 18th and broadcast on Boxing Day December 26th 1963. The now-disgraced Australian television star Rolf Harris hosted the show and the Beatles accompanied him on a version of his 1960 hit 'Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport'.

GLANDULA - EL SHAKE DE LA AUTOPISTA
In 2024, Alberto Charro, better known as the creator and leader of the band Los Malinches, travels from his new residence in the German city of Hamburg to the Circo Perroti studios in Gijón in search of a sound faithful to the "nueva ola" that flooded the clubs and radios of the late sixties, emulating the purest sound of the mythical 7" released by labels such as DisPerú, Mag, Peerlees or Music Hall. There he recorded a single with two original songs and a completely analogue production, produced by Jorge Explosión. This single includes his first hit 'El Shake De La Autopista,' a dark dancefloor breaker that recalls the famous shake dance of the youth of the sixties b/w 'Cuando Todo Se Hizo Oscuro.'

Oh Telephone have their origins in the deep valleys of the Glarnerland (mountain region in Switzerland) where thanks to the Veka Club they were well socialized and made resistant to any mainstream influences. Booking agencies and labels are just shooting around with bands with psych in the name who would like to be the next Oh Sees and at the same time model their sound in a way that is horrible radio-friendly. Oh Telephone, on the other hand, is the real shit, garage-psych like no other band currently plays. Their screams never seem calculated but rather like a spontaneous outburst of passion, their guitars pierce every eardrum with a few effect devices standing around, it's not shoegaze that's being practiced, but rather tap dancing. Now the two masterminds behind their former bands Shoutin' Moe and The Outta Mind have moved their caravan to Bern and have bred the perfect mix of their two former bands there, together with Gael at the powerful post-punk bass and Californian import Timothy U. on efficient drums. For these recordings on the album they drove to the depths of southern France to record this album with Lo Spider in his Swamp Lands Studio (Monsters, Spits, Scaners, Lullies etc.). The final fix was then added by Jim Diamond (Dirtbombs, Electric Six, White Stripes, Sonics, Devils).

Oh Telephone have their origins in the deep valleys of the Glarnerland (mountain region in Switzerland) where thanks to the Veka Club they were well socialized and made resistant to any mainstream influences. Booking agencies and labels are just shooting around with bands with psych in the name who would like to be the next Oh Sees and at the same time model their sound in a way that is horrible radio-friendly. Oh Telephone, on the other hand, is the real shit, garage-psych like no other band currently plays. Their screams never seem calculated but rather like a spontaneous outburst of passion, their guitars pierce every eardrum with a few effect devices standing around, it's not shoegaze that's being practiced, but rather tap dancing. Now the two masterminds behind their former bands Shoutin' Moe and The Outta Mind have moved their caravan to Bern and have bred the perfect mix of their two former bands there, together with Gael at the powerful post-punk bass and Californian import Timothy U. on efficient drums. For these recordings on the album they drove to the depths of southern France to record this album with Lo Spider in his Swamp Lands Studio (Monsters, Spits, Scaners, Lullies etc.). The final fix was then added by Jim Diamond (Dirtbombs, Electric Six, White Stripes, Sonics, Devils).

Having previously surfy-fied the songs of Kraftwerk and Buzzcocks, 'Surfin' Pleasures' sees The Routes take on the music of Joy Division. As with their previous "tributes", this is not an album of note for note cover versions. The Routes have only taken subtle melodic and rhythmic hints from
the original songs; rearranging them into songs of their own, respectfully and lovingly translating the music of Joy Division into a different musical language. 'Surfin' Pleasures' sees twelve classic Joy Division songs reimagined and rearranged as banging '60s surf guitar instrumentals (à la The Ventures, Dick Dale, The Shadows, The Trashmen, Terauchi Takeshi, Link Wray, The Surfaris, The Astronauts and more).

Island post-punk from the south of Poland. The tour includes: unlimited cellar snorkeling, coffee on Enewetak and Bikini atolls, free time in the central depression. The cruise crew includes: Lukasz Plata (Ukryte Zalety Systemu, Przepych), Artur Soszynski (Ukryte Zalety Systemu) and Hubert Kostkiewicz (Kurws), powered by vocalist Agata Horwat. The whole is tied together with a dub brace by master of the console Szymon Szwarc (Jesien, Rozwd). 'Koniec Sosu Tysiaca Wysp' (The End of the Thousand Island Sauce) is an angular, overstimulated, rhythmically organized yet freedom-hungry punkoid in the vein of no wave or Minutemen, with a face that resembles absolutely no one.
