Sin tiempo ni espacio was an interesting record that mixed classical and progressive music. The b-side was more intense, with songs like "Siempre encontrar un lugar" (with excellent performances of both guitars and violin) or "Noche de Sol" (with a repeated riff and a great guitar solo). All and all, a unique album of great interest for collectors. 0328898 LP SBLP 72 SECOND BATTLE	GILA - LIVE - FREE ELECTRIC ROCK SESSIONS "Free Electric Rock Sessions" is a live recording from Cologne in 1972 that was broadcasted "live in studio" by a radio station in Germany (WDR). Although this album was never officially released at the time, this should be the second Gila album and even if only played as a radio broadcast, all of the tracks were brand new and are not available on their other two albums. In a similar fashion to the stunning debut album "Free Electric Sound", this album pulls out all the underground Krautrock vibes and is a truely great album. Some years ago these recordings found their way onto CD from "Garden Of Delights" (Nightworks). As this is not a studio album, the sound is not perfect, but the recordings have been (once again) restored at its best for this vinyl release. Though the band recorded only 1 LP & 4 Singles, all collectors-items ,they are regarded as one of the important masterpieces of hardrock worldwide.The band stayed together from 1970 till 1975 and played a lot of concerts together with some great bands like,Golden Earring,Uriah Heep,Focus,Chicken Shack,Chris Farlowe and many more.Their one European "hit" was "Masterpiece",that you can hear on this MySpace, plus 3 more songs from their 1971 album. The band got together again in 2002 and recorded a new Album on the Fuzzy label. 30 years later, in 2005 to our surprise there was a comeback at a Rockpalast gig in December 2005. From the old personell there are still 2 musicians on stage : William Souffreau, the main songwriter and singer and Luc de Clus, the genious Solo-Guitarrist. This music is timeless and the three other younger musicians dont let you think that this is an Oldie event; we listen to modern rock that has its roots deep in the seventies - from the altogether 14 tracks 8 tracks have been released in the seventies on singles and on the one and only LP. It was a fantastic Rockpalast gig that was aired from German Television WDR in January 2006 for half an hour. SECOND BATTLE now releases as a limited 1000 copies edition both on CD and Double-LP the whole concert that lasts for almost 64 minutes. The recordings have been especially remastered once again for CD and Vinyl and have now a much better ,Power-sound" and will bring to smile all rockfans that like early seventies rock to listen to in top quality. The formation of Swiss rock band Exit dates back to the year 1972. The breakout came during a tour with the band Birth Control and the band from Frauenfeld decided to produce an LP for its devoted fan club. As there was practically no budget for production and almost no digital studios existing, Exit recorded in the MS studio in Dietikon with two revox 2-track machines. So all the music was really played without tricks! Their style is special: long tracks remaining to Pink Floyd, keyboard loaded with additional characteristic choir singing and a very fresh garage edge. Its a document of a unique combination of krautrock and joy. The bonus tracks date from 1975 - 1979, some of it was recorded in new formation with a saxophonist. If the record was in some aspects a hard search for the paradise and the meaning of life so this search continued in their later lyrics. The music became continuously influenced by jazz - including beautiful parts far away from common music. Another Krautrock-Rock release, the film "Notwehr".The film was made in 1977 and features the band Guru Guru. Therefor all music in the film is GURU GURU. This film from 1977 has a hugh cult status in Germany , now the world can learn about about GURU GURU when they play the roile of band in the movie, creating their typical KRAUT music as they did in the 70's. Screenplay as follows: The rock band Rattenfanger (Rat-Catchers), played by the german Krautrock legend Guru Guru, moves to the small village of Ebenrein to compose in the peace and quiet of the country-side. The villagers and the local councillor (Erik Schumann) are not at all enthusiastic about the arrival of the young band. They worry that their presence will introduce a criminal element into the village's pastoral existence. A small number of locals try to dispel the prejudices of their peers, thus dividing the village into two factions. The situation becomes criitical after the band's leader and drummer Mani Neumeier starts a relationship with the under-age daughter of the local building contractor, Bergmann (played by Friedrich von Thun). The builder's foreman Hans Zilke (Gunter Lamprecht) is disturbed one evening outside his house by a gang of youngsters and shoots blindly into the group, killing a young girl, one of the band's groupies. Zilke claims to have fired in self-defence, saying the youngsters were trying to break into his house.....

Back in 1966 he set up his recording equipment at the Fat Black Pussycat club in Melbourne and captured a full set by his mates the Wild Cherries! ...EMI!!! A discography of now defunct independent record labels that released vinyl. 2nd edition. Obviously the title of this book is not to be taken seriously. No independent record label would ever want to be brought up in connection with a major record label. First of all, this title was chosen by the author as an homage to that independently released record which he listened to the most, "They Could Have Been Bigger Than The Beatles" by the Television Personalities, and secondly, because EMI probably is the major label that was sung about the most, at least by the independent scene. A lot of independent labels developed their own distinctive style or taste in music and brought bands together that gave their vision a face. Some of those labels are featured in fan-sites on the internet but most of the independent record labels from the 70s, 80s or even early 90s are relatively undocumented up to now. This book is dedicated to these labels and the people behind them. This is the second edition of TCHBBTE. It features about twice as much information as the prior one and this time I have included some label-logos and a few pages with record-covers. This beautiful paperback issue containing 567 pages, features descriptions and full catalogues on: 4.200 labels and shows over 2.200 label-logos/covers. An indispensable book for all vinyl lovers who like to know which now long defunct labels released what during the 70's 80's and 90's.

"Oil on Canvas" is a 96 pages book (14,5 x 14,5 cm, full-colour hard cover) featuring three different chapters dedicated to three inspired photographers with whom the band shares inspiration and passion for music. The photos follow three different paths: the first one, with photos by Raffaella Graziosi, is dedicated to ancient Italian houses in ruins, nobleness and beauty confronted with decay; the second, with photos by Mick Mercer, features enigmatic statues standing in wonderful English gardens and parks; the third, with photos by Livio Bedeschi, is dedicated to Mediterranean landscapes, nature and wilderness. Following the compilation African Scream Contest - Raw & Psychedelic Afro Sounds from Benin & Togo 70s - which featured several tracks by Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou, including the ground-breaking "Gbeti Madjro" - this new Analog Africa collection now focuses entirely on Orchestre Poly-Rythmo. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou is arguably West Africas best-kept secret. Their output, both in quantity and quality, was astonishing. During several trips to Benin Samy Ben Redjeb managed to collect roughly 500 songs which Orchestre Poly-Rythmo de Cotonou had recorded between 1970 and 1983. With so much material to choose from Samy Ben Redjeb decided to split it into Volume 1 and 2. While Volume 2 will be material the band recorded under an exclusive contract with the label Albarika Store, the band also "secretly" recorded with an array of smaller labels based around Cotonou, Benins largest city, and the capital city of Porto Novo. It is those tracks (all officially licensed) that are presented here on Volume 1. In the 44-page booklet, full of rare photographs and record covers, Analog Africa introduces three important producers who were collectively responsible for some of the most amazing music released in Benin: Gratien K. Aissy of the Echos Sonores du Dahomey label, Bernard Dohounzo of Disques Tropiques, Lawani Affissoulayi of Aux Ecoutes, the label behind El Rego & Ses Commandoss fame, as well as en encounter in Niamey with Honliasso Barnabé, Poly-Rythmo's Producer in Niger. Samy Ben Redjeb also interviewed Vincent Ahehehinnou, the man responsible for composing some of the funkiest stuff ever to come out of Benin, and Kineffo Michel, the sound engineer of Poly-Rythmos legendary Nagra "home" recordings.
