Eventually, many of these improvised pieces were molded into songs. Des Ark is primarily singer/guitarist Aimee Collet Argote. She had previously been involved with Rubeo, which released a 7" on feminist label Mr. Lady in 1998. Exotic Fever Records released a split 7" with Bellafea in October 2004, followed in 2005 by the first full-length, Loose Lips Sink Ships, through Bifocal Media/Bakery Outlet Records. "The record was made with the backdrop of recovery - a new place to live and a chance at renewal -quite on the edge, lots of anger and the absurdity of life all swirling around. Remember believing at the time that I would probably have a short life, so that desperation fed into the album. First and last chance to maybe say something on record.It took several months to record and each session was a short burst. Towards the end of the recording a welcome sense of levity crept in, spurred on by the ludicrous casio pre-sets. That felt good, given the whole Industrial scene, in the broad sense, was a bit earnest and po-faced. The album title came to me from being familiar with a bar called the swan with two necks. See now theres this really fine line when it comes to doing catchy, poppy punk right without it sounding generic and dated. And of course there's one country that pulls it off better than the rest of the world, every time - it's Canada. From the Bonaduces through to Painted Thin via Porter Hall, Weakerthans and Propagandhi Canada knows what the fuck is up (and I think the country definitely has labels like Endearing Records to thank for that)... well Sixty Stories features Paul Furgale from Painted Thin, and there's definitely a latter Painted Thin (and Bonaduces) vibe here - those "from the heart" slacker style vocals, the unbelievable hooks and just an all around greatness in its honesty. What seperates this band from Painted Thin though is the addition of "keyboards and beeps" that just add to the awesome popiness of it all. Now were not talking Get Up Kids rip off here, although I think fans of that "lost it more than Shades Apart" piece of shit may well think Sixty Stories are a great band...-The Company With The Golden Arm. The Spanish band ATILA was formed in '73. This legendary and highly acclaimed progrock band made three LP's: "The Beginning Of The End" ('75), "Intencion" ('76) and "Reviure" ('77). At the end of '78 the band dissolves but in '99 they reformed . In the same year this ATILA line-up did a reunion-concert, playing their best material. The sound of ATILA has elements from VANILLA FUDGE, CREAM, The NICE and ELP but in general ... it's ATILA! The remastered second album "Intencion" (considered as their best) and a concert from '99 are put on 1-CD (entitled "Atila: Intencion + Reviure"), this is a treat for the lovers of 'vintage-keyboards' (Hammond, Moog, Mellotron) with some mindblowing moments (swirling organ and fat Moog runs) but the guitarwork is also worth listening, a bit harder-edged but very inventive, at some moments with a Spanish flavour. The songs from the live-concert ('99) are more original and belong to the best Spanish progrock ever made. The Lemon Drops were pioneers of a psychedelic flower-power sound in and around the Chicago suburbs in 1967. The mastermind behind their music was Rembrandt Records' owner Reggie Weiss. CD reissue as digipack of their 1974 album. Sixty Nine were a rock based instrumental organ drums duo following in the footsteps of Hansson and Karlsson. Given the limitations of such a small setup, it takes quite a bit of imagination and sound variation to keep things interesting. They do manage to get some outlandish sounds out of the organ, and combined with the riproaring tempos, the group do keep things hopping for the most part. Theres even an introspective electronic piece. As expected, the live album loses some of the studio effects, and is even more one dimensional than the debut. Sixty Nine are to be commended for their mighty efforts. 		60s/70sPSYCH/PROG/FOLK

CD reissue of 1977 albym. Tetsu Yamauchi was born October 21, 1946, in Fukuoka, Japan. By the mid Sixties, Tetsu was in the Japanese folk-rock band, the Mikes. In late 1967 or early 1968, he joined a band called Samurai that was touring Europe. They moved to London and in 1970s, but Samurai returned to Japan. The band was led by it's vocalist, Miki Curtis. Tetsu also got a lot of session work through Miki, who was a successful producer. This included work with jazz vocalist Helen Merrill's son, Alan. In 1971, He recorded the solid Kossoff / Kirke / Tetsu / Rabbit - whose were launch in the year after - with Free guitarist Paul Kossoff and Drummer Simon Kirke, together with keyboard player John 'Rabbit" Bundrick. In 1972, Tetsu released the first of two solo albums, Tetsu and after that, Kikyo, whose label and year of recorder is unknown. In the same 1972, the bassist became internationally recognized when replaced Andy Fraser in Free, touring and recorded the bass lines of the bands final album. When Ronnie Lane left the Faces in 1973, Tetsu replaced him. After the Faces ground to a halt, Yamauchi returned to Japan. There, he works as leader, bassist and producer touring and recording with bands and artists as Tetsu and the Good Times Roll Band. 		60s/70sPSYCH/PROG/FOLK

In a gloomy bar where everyone is bored to death, a drunken woman breaks her glass, then picks up a bottle and smashes it against the wall. Nobody gets excited; the disappointed woman lets herself be thrown out. Yet everyone there could have done exactly the same thing. She alone made the thought concrete, crossing the first radioactive belt of isolation: interior isolation, the introverted separation between self and outside world. Nobody responded to a sign which she thought was explicit. She remained alone like the hooligan who burns down a church or kills a policeman, at one with herself but condemned to exile as long as other people remain exiled from their own existence. 20 minutes of fine harsh noise collaboration of 2 fine projects.
